Many of these schools are eligible for Pentagon funding for the U.S. Army Jr. Reserve Officers\u2019 Training Corps. [JROTC] CCP influence can put at risk programs\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Republican Reps. Mike Waltz &#038; Chrissy Houlahan have introduced a resolution to protect JROTC programs and future U.S soldiers by pulling funding from schools that receive CCP money. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p id=\"isPasted\">&#8220;Firms with direct ties with the CCP are buying up American private schools. \u00a0It is troublesome that our government has been supporting some of these schools financially,&#8221; said Waltz. &#8220;Our legislation would ensure that the Pentagon will no longer provide funding to these schools.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As a former teacher and ROTC cadet, I was greatly disturbed to learn that there were American private schools with ties to the Chinese Communist Party running JROTC programs,&#8221; Houlahan also added. &#8220;I&#8217;m proud of our JROTC programs and how they shape the next generation, but we must ensure they remain representative of our nation and its values.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div class=\"row mb-3\">\n<div class=\"col\">\n<h4 class=\"pc\">Recommendation<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>According <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usarmyjrotc.com\/army-junior-rotc-program-overview\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">U.S. Army JROTC<\/a>The program can be accessed at &#8220;<span>one of the largest character development and citizenship programs for youth in the world. The National Defense Act of 1916 established organized JROTC programs at public and private educational institutions.
