Although the incident appears innocent, it exposed her as a survivor of military sexual assault. It forced her to recount her trauma publically before an election that was gathering momentum.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Although this story was covered in the mainstream media, the reality is far more serious than most people realize. The fact that the House of Representatives is controlled by the Republican Party means that an investigation has begun. But it remains to be seen what the fate of those responsible.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">For veterans and those who haven\u2019t heard this story, let me tell you about it. This was in an expose on the groundbreaking candidate. Ms. Green was exposed as a victim of military sexual assault, and she was forced to speak out in the most public manner possible about a personal trauma that had occurred before she was ready.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Ms. Green was furious at the infringement on her private life and military records. Brad Dayspring, Vice President Marketing and Communications at Politico, responded. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/opinion\/democrats-must-answer-for-researcher-who-acquired-air-force-records-of-gop-candidates\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Claim<\/a> Her records are &#8220;publicly available documents that can be obtained by a standard FOIA request.&#8221; Except this is not true, all military personnel records require a signed permission statement from the servicemember in question.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Spoiler alert: Ms. Green never granted permission or had the opportunity to give consent. They claimed they were given it by someone who claimed to have obtained it through the appropriate FOIA requests.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">And who was this master at information gathering, you ask? Abraham Payton of Due Diligence Group is an organization that, according their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.duediligencegroupllc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Website<\/a>The following service is offered by : &#8220;Whether you are a political campaign, marketing firm, small business, or Fortune 500 company, we&#8217;ll utilize our expertise in FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) and local public record laws to get you the knowledge you need.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">It is important to remember that Mr. Payton was once the research director for the largest opposition research organization of the Democratic Party. He obtained the social security numbers of members, though it is not clear how he did so, and convinced the Air Force that he could release military personnel records in an apparent political hit job.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Air Force admits to that &#8220;Air Force employees did not follow proper procedures&#8221; Regarding the release of records for Ms. Green and 10 other veterans Congressmen and candidates. This included then-candidates Sam Peters &#038; Kevin Dellicker as well as Congressmen Zack Nunn &#038; Don Bacon. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Senator Nunn <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/house\/gop-lawmakers-seek-investigation-after-military-records-released\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <\/a>&#8220;The recent targeting of member of Congress&#8217;s personnel military records, the breach of sensitive data, and the duplicitous forgery taken by political hacks isn&#8217;t only a violation of public trust \u2013 it&#8217;s criminal.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">For a moment, think about this: a Department of Defense branch released private military records without obtaining permission from the veterans involved. This should concern all veterans who have a right to trust the institution they gave so much of their lives to, regardless of whether it was malicious intent or massive incompetence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The web of deceit sticks harder the deeper you dive. Due Diligence Group <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/research-group-improperly-obtained-military-records-of-gop-candidates-paid-two-dem-committees\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Payed<\/a> Over $110,000 came from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, and $173,000 came from the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. It is possible that the DCCC or DSCC paid this group to gain access to this information in order to profit from the careers of veteran politicians.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I&#8217;m grateful that you took responsibility for this heinous intrusion of my privacy. Politics over progress is a terrible way to lead, and Hoosiers should be held accountable for this abominable conduct. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/BattleProvenLeadership?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#BattleProvenLeadership<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/tVGsLNbF87\">https:\/\/t.co\/tVGsLNbF87<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Jennifer-Ruth Green (@JenRuthGreen) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JenRuthGreen\/status\/1628474987844706310?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 22, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/thepoliticalinsider.com\/exclusive-oversight-committee-demands-account-of-all-economic-military-aid-to-ukraine\/\">Oversight Committee Requires Account for All Economic and Military Aid to Ukraine<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Lip Service<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Congressman Bacon <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/02\/21\/air-force-wrongly-released-gopers-personnel-files\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">explains<\/a> This betrayal was so severe that it is said that &#8220;Knowing that this third party, paid by the Democratic Campaign Congressional Committee, was able to obtain my social security number and fraudulently use it to obtain my military records is concerning not only for myself and the other ten affected but to every single veteran.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> This situation, in fact, highlights some, if certainly all of the following possibilities to break it down:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The DOD is not good at protecting our data<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The DOD is willing to share our information and is politically oriented\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The Democratic Party will pay for illegally obtained private information about veterans<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Ms. Green <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/magazine\/2022\/10\/07\/shes-black-and-conservative-in-a-democratic-district-is-she-about-to-take-off-politically-00060703\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a> Her military sexual assault &#8220;After reporting my assault against the advice of officials in my command, my career was intentionally derailed.&#8221; We have all been there.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">According to the Air Force, the Air Force claims that this employee was punished in accordance with &#8220;proper administrative procedures.&#8221; Those who served understand what that means.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Terminating employment is the only acceptable and appropriate procedure. I&#8217;d bet dollars that this didn&#8217;t happen. The Air Force is yet to disclose exactly what they did, as transparency is not something our government believes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">A spokesperson for the Air Force is featured in the Politico piece about Ms. Green<a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/magazine\/2022\/10\/07\/shes-black-and-conservative-in-a-democratic-district-is-she-about-to-take-off-politically-00060703\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <\/a>, &#8220;We remain committed to building a culture of respect, where sexual assault and harassment are not tolerated in any form, and we will do this by supporting victims and prosecuting offenders through the Uniform Code of Military Justice.&#8221; Given the way you attacked Ms. Green&#8217;s information and did not respect her rights, I think your commitment to a culture that supports victims and respects their feelings is lacking.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">She&#8217;s not responsible for this.
