(Photo by Shawn Thew-Pool\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h5>OAN Newsroom<br \/>UPDATED 8:00 PM PT \u2013 Monday, March 1, 2021<\/h5>\n<p>Defined as a \u201ccultural boycott,\u201d cancel culture is becoming a growing concern amongst both political parties.<\/p>\n<p>According to a Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll released on Monday, 64 percent of Americans believe it\u2019s a threat to freedom in the United States. While the majority of those in agreement were conservative, the poll showed that now nearly half of Democrats agree cancel culture is a threat to freedom.<\/p>\n<p>The poll was conducted just before this year\u2019s CPAC, which was fittingly titled \u201cAmerica Uncancelled.\u201d There, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) gave a speech on the impact cancel culture could have on America\u2019s future.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey canceled the host of The Bachelor, they canceled the star of The Mandalorian, they\u2019re coming after Fox News, Newsmax, One America News,\u201d Jordan stated. \u201cYou see, last week they tried to cancel Kermit the Frog and Mr. Potato Head, you see that? They backed off Mr. Potato Head, I think he told them his preferred pronouns were he, his, him, right? I mean, this is scary where the left wants to go.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Today\u2019s Left wants to cancel Newsmax, Fox News, and OANN.<\/p>\n<p>They want to cancel President Trump and his allies.<\/p>\n<p>And now with H.R. 1, they want to cancel fair elections.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Rep. Jim Jordan (@Jim_Jordan) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Jim_Jordan\/status\/1365457449759764481?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 27, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Jordan went on to provide examples of this in the sports world, specifically Oklahoma State\u2019s head football coach, who nearly lost his job for wearing a One America News T-shirt.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMike Gundy did you follow this one, Mike Gundy football coach at Oklahoma State. Remember this, Mike Gundy goes fishing with his family, posts a picture on social media wearing a One America News T-shirt, almost lost his job,\u201d Jordan explained. \u201cThink about that, almost lost his job for fishing in the wrong shirt.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Ohio congressman ended his speech by encouraging young conservatives at CPAC to fight back every chance they get.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDo you have a functioning First Amendment when only one side is allowed to talk? Do you have free speech when the left controls what can be said?
