He was abusing his power over her for sex. This is textbook sexual harassment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, the New York Attorney General, Leticia James, also received a \u201cformal referral granting her request to launch an independent investigation into allegations of sexual harassment\u201d from the governor\u2019s office, <a href=\"https:\/\/lawandcrime.com\/high-profile\/christine-blasey-fords-lawyer-will-represent-former-aide-who-accused-gov-cuomo-of-sexual-harassment-investigative-findings-will-be-released-in-public-report\/\">per Law &#038; Crime.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The referral clears the way for an investigation to begin.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, the Albany Times-Union reported that the FBI and the United States Attorney in Brooklyn had launched a probe into allegations that the Cuomo Administration \u201cobstructed justice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The probe is likely connected to reports that a Cuomo administration senior aide told state Democrats, in February, that the governor\u2019s office deliberately underreported COVID-19 nursing home deaths connected to a Cuomo order that sent recovering coronavirus patients into nursing and other adult care facilities, in order to avoid a federal investigation.<\/p>\n<p>New York Democrats \u2014 and even some prominent federal legislators \u2014 have called for Cuomo to face impeachment proceedings related to the nursing home order.
