Officials evacuated all residents within a mile of the accident site and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/evacuation-ordered-ohio-governor-warns-major-explosion-could-send-shrapnel-a-mile-from-derailed-train\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">started<\/a> A controlled burning of the vinyl chloride the train was carrying to stop a huge explosive from happening.<\/p>\n<p>Vinyl chloride is a well-known human carcinogen that was used to make PVC. Five train cars produced massive plumes black smoke visible in eastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n<p>Biden answered reporters&#8217; questions about whether he planned to visit East Palestine. &#8220;no,&#8221; He then defended his administration&#8217;s response.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">NEW: Pres.
