The problem was that he couldn&#8217;t find the organization&#8217;s address.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I was in DC for a meeting of the National Association of Secretaries of States and, since I was in town, I went to see the [Electronic Registration Information Center] Headquarters,&#8221; Allen stated this in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sos.alabama.gov\/index.php\/newsroom\/wes-allen-finds-vacant-virtual-office-eric-address\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Statement<\/a>. &#8220;What I found was that there was no ERIC headquarters at that address. There were no employees. There were no servers. There was no ERIC presence of any kind. Instead, I found a virtual office that is rentable by the day. What it was missing was people, servers and any sign of the ERIC team.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>As The Federalist\u2019s Victoria Marshall <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/08\/11\/democratic-operatives-control-voter-rolls-in-31-states-report-shows\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a>ERIC, a voter-roll management software system, was created by far-left activists <a href=\"https:\/\/www.influencewatch.org\/person\/david-becker\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">David Becker<\/a> It was sold to states in the following: &#8220;quick and easy way&#8221; To manage their voter rolls. When states become ERIC members, they give voter data to the group \u2014 including the records of unregistered voters. <a href=\"https:\/\/ericstates.org\/statistics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Currently<\/a>ERIC controls voter-roll data in over half of the US and the District of Columbia.<\/p>\n<p>ERIC&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/ericstates.org\/statistics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Website<\/a> Lists a D.C. address within its &#8220;Contact Us&#8221; section, Allen claimed that the listed location is actually owned by Expansive. This business provides virtual workspaces throughout the country and rents office space daily.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Before I took office, Alabama transmitted the personal information of millions of our citizens to this private organization for the past several years. That information is stored on a server somewhere but we do not know where. There is no ERIC operation at the location they claim is their office,&#8221; Allen said. &#8220;A lot of personal data and taxpayer money has been transferred to ERIC. Where is that data? Where are the employees? Where are the offices? Where are the computers?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>A spokesperson for ERIC told The Federalist that the organization was responding to Allen&#8217;s claims. &#8220;has always operated without a brick-and-mortar office&#8221; It also lists the address on its website. &#8220;is ERIC&#8217;s official mailing address.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;ERIC utilizes a secure data center outside of Washington, D.C.,&#8221; He said. &#8220;ERIC staff work remotely from other U.S. locations.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Allen was sworn in earlier this year as secretary of state. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/us\/alabama-secretary-of-state-officially-withdraws-from-eric-organization\/ar-AA16s7jj\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Withdrew<\/a> Alabama from ERIC, fulfilling an <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/11\/21\/alabama-withdraws-from-democrat-operative-controlled-voter-registration-database\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">pledge<\/a> Prior to his election, he made these comments. Allen expressed concern that Alabama would send voter data to outside-of-state entities in a statement announcing his decision. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/us\/alabama-secretary-of-state-officially-withdraws-from-eric-organization\/ar-AA16s7jj\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Say it<\/a> &#8220;the data uploads of [private] information from Alabama to ERIC is over.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>ERIC has also been linked to the Center for Election Innovation and Research, a Becker-founded left-wing non-profit.<a href=\"https:\/\/electioninnovation.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CEIR<\/a>). Most importantly, CEIR was the group that received the most money from Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg prior to the 2020 election. <\/p>\n<p>The grants were then transferred to local election offices all over the country.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8216;A lot of personal data and taxpayer money has been transferred to ERIC.
