Josh Shapiro (D-PA), stated Wednesday that he expected that Sen. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/john-fetterman\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">John Fetterman<\/a> (D-PA) will have a complete recovery once he has received his medical treatment. <a href=\"http:\/\/dailywire.com\/topic\/health\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Treatment<\/a> for depression.<\/p>\n<p>Fetterman was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/fetterman-remains-hospitalized-following-medical-episode-team-gives-update-on-status\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hospitalized<\/a> He felt lightheaded after feeling it during the Democratic Senate retreat earlier this year. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/senator-fetterman-to-be-hospitalized-for-weeks-after-checking-himself-into-hospital\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Verified<\/a> One week later, Shapiro was admitted to inpatient treatment for severe clinical depression. This will leave the freshman lawmaker without a job for several weeks. Shapiro, who was also inaugurated in his first term last week, stated in an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inquirer.com\/politics\/pennsylvania\/john-fetterman-josh-shapiro-depression-hospitalization-20230222.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Interview<\/a> According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Fetterman expects to be there &#8220;come back stronger than ever&#8221; after treatment.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;He&#8217;s going to get the help that he needs,&#8221; Shapiro stated to the outlet: &#8220;and do a great job for the people of Pennsylvania as their senator for a long time.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Fetterman was previously lieutenant governor in Pennsylvania and mayor for Braddock in the Rust Belt. He suffered a stroke in May 2022 and was admitted to hospital less than a week before the Democratic primary in Pennsylvania for the open Senate seat. According to him, no prominent Pennsylvania Democrats had pushed him for Fetterman&#8217;s resignation. He clarified that he &#8220;would dismiss&#8221; Any such pressure &#8220;immediately.&#8221; The ex-Attorney General of Pennsylvania stated that he is &#8220;really inspired&#8221; Fetterman and his decision not to go public about his mental health issues.<\/p>\n<p>His unsuccessful Republican rival Dr. Mehmet Oz was in the lead, with questions raised about Fetterman&#8217;s mental ability. Fetterman was absent from the campaign trail almost two months. He stumbled, slurred and lost his way during stump speeches in the summer and autumn. I think shocked and appalled, but sadly not surprised.
