They will be entitled to full coverage by the employer for any costs related to reversing the treatment. This applies regardless if the employee is currently employed by the employer.<\/p>\n<p>The proposed legislation will require employers to pay for the cost of any treatment for gender dysphoria or gender transition that an employee receives under their employer-provided insurance.<\/p>\n<p>The proposed legislation allows patients to request coverage for gender transition treatment outside Florida. However, they must have received the initial treatment while still being covered by their employer. Employers who refuse to comply can be sued by employees to recover damages and costs from them.<\/p>\n<p>The enforcement &#8220;Reverse Woke Act&#8221; The final details of the law are still being determined. If approved by Florida&#8217;s legislature, it will go into effect on July 1st. The state will be implementing the law in August. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/pediatric-medical-body-subpoenaed-to-provide-florida-with-documentation-on-child-sex-change-policies\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Adopted rules<\/a> That prohibit Medicaid coverage for elective sex changes treatments. The Florida Board of Medicine and Board of Osteopathic Medicine met in November. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/florida-medical-boards-vote-to-ban-medical-transition-for-minors\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Voted to ban<\/a> Services for minors that include chemical and surgical sex changes are available throughout the state.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Proposed legislation in Florida would hold businesses responsible for the cost of detransition care if they offer coverage for chemical and surgical sex change treatments.
