She offered an insider\u2019s view of what transpired and teased as many as a dozen indictment recommendations.<\/p>\n<p>When <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2023\/02\/21\/us\/trump-georgia-grand-jury-indictments.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">asked by The New York Times<\/a> whether the special grand jury recommended Trump in particular be indicted, she said, \u201cYou\u2019re not going to be shocked. It\u2019s not rocket science.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kohrs laughed when she told CNN\u2019s Kate Bolduan the list of indictment recommendations is a long one. Kohrs stated she would be \u201csad\u201d and \u201cfrustrated\u201d if the district attorney decides against pursuing charges.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Georgia grand jury foreperson: &#8220;I will be sad&#8221; if the DA decides against bringing charges against Trump \u2026 I will be frustrated if nothing happens.&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/9RfusUCjUX\">pic.twitter.com\/9RfusUCjUX<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Tom Elliott (@tomselliott) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/tomselliott\/status\/1628405927375253506?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 22, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The Associated Press reported its team <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/politics-new-york-city-only-on-ap-donald-trump-georgia-266e28c4e47e54731b233e0f770f6729\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">found Kohrs\u2019 name<\/a> on subpoenas obtained through open records requests. Media reports, including AP\u2019s, claimed that when Kohrs was interviewed, she appeared to avoid explicitly defying Fulton County Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney\u2019s order not to discuss jury deliberations during their respective interviews.<\/p>\n<p>Still, legal experts and others were aghast at what they witnessed from Kohrs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe shouldn\u2019t be doing this,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/US\/speaking-foreperson-georgia-trump-probe-undermine-future-case\/story?id=97385930\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said Dan Abrams<\/a>, ABC News\u2019 chief legal analyst. \u201cIt isn\u2019t helpful to the perception of the objectivity of the criminal justice system, and it starts to feel like she\u2019s putting pressure on the district attorney to actually move forward with charges.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sunny Hostin, a co-host on ABC\u2019s \u201cThe View\u201d who previously worked as federal prosecutor, said she feared Kohrs was \u201c<span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">compromising <\/span><span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-b88u0q r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">the<\/span><span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\"> integrity of <\/span><span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-b88u0q r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">the<\/span><span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\"> investigation.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">IMPACT OF GEORGIA GRAND JURY FOREWOMAN\u2019S MEDIA TOUR: <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/TheView?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#TheView<\/a> co-hosts react to interviews by the forewoman of the grand jury that investigated efforts by former Pres. Trump himself took aim at Kohrs on his Truth Social platform on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis Georgia case is ridiculous, a strictly political continuation of the greatest Witch Hunt of all time,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/@realDonaldTrump\/posts\/109909310069862367\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trump said<\/a>. \u201cNow you have an extremely energetic young woman, the (get this!) \u2018foreperson\u2019 of the Racist D.A.\u2019s Special Grand Jury, going around and doing a Media Tour revealing, incredibly, the Grand Jury\u2019s inner workings &#038; thoughts. This is not JUSTICE, this is an illegal Kangaroo Court.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The special grand jury, which had the authority to subpoena witnesses and documents, but not to issue indictments, was put together at the behest of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis in May 2022 and the panel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/georgia-special-grand-jury-submits-trump-probe-report\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">completed its work<\/a> in January.<\/p>\n<p>Willis, a Democrat, may soon use their findings to pursue charges by impaneling a separate, regular grand jury. \u201cDecisions are imminent,\u201d Willis told a judge last month. The district attorney spoke to the urgency of her investigation in arguing against the release of the special grand jury\u2019s report.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, McBurney ordered the disclosure of three sections, leaving most of the report sealed from the public\u2019s view until charging decisions are made by Willis. One disclosed section said a \u201cmajority\u201d of the special grand jury believes perjury was committed by one or more witnesses. Another unsealed section said the panel determined by \u201cunanimous vote\u201d that there was no <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/election-fraud\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">widespread fraud<\/a> in Georgia\u2019s 2020 presidential election that could overturn the results.<\/p>\n<p>Although any recommendations that specific individuals be indicted were not disclosed last week, Trump thanked the special grand jury for its patriotism and integrity. <a href=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/@realDonaldTrump\/posts\/109876273643637971\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cTotal exoneration,\u201d<\/a> he added on Truth Social.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ajc.com\/politics\/fulton-grand-juror-multiple-indictments-recommended\/KGAJO32SP5CJXO4EYGCONSP5OE\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution<\/a>, when Khors was told about Trump\u2019s post, she rolled her eyes and laughed. \u201cDid he really say that?\u201d she asked. \u201cOh, that\u2019s fantastic. That\u2019s phenomenal.
