According to police, Miller&#8217;s car was also one of the two vehicles that blocked the Jeep of victim before the shooting.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Tuscaloosa chief assistant district attorney, who is a graduate of Alabama&#8217;s Law School and said that there is nothing to be charged him with. While I&#8217;m not a lawyer and will not pretend to be one, I can assure you that it isn&#8217;t a crime and warrants a suspension from Nate Oats, the coach of Alabama basketball.<\/p>\n<p>Coach Oats is well-known for talking about the \u2018hard-hat mentality,&#8217; and how a great culture works, and what holding people accountable means \u2014 well it seems his words were just words. Even with all the information that&#8217;s been revealed about this case, Nate Oats is still choosing to play his best player regardless of his \u2018accountability&#8217; mantra.<\/p>\n<p>We hear coaches talk all the time about doing the \u2018right things&#8217; and how their program builds young men up, but it seems that Nate Oats only cares about one thing \u2014 winning.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Now I know people will say, \u2018well it isn&#8217;t against the law, so why should he sit?&#8217; I have some good news: Most suspensions for players are not due to breaking a law. Being late for practice isn&#8217;t against the law; missing class isn&#8217;t against the law; hell, making bad grades isn&#8217;t against the law \u2014 and those infractions pale in comparison to being associated with murder.<\/p>\n<p>It is impossible to convince me that someone would bring a gun into conflict zones without being aware of the potential consequences. What if they were not a celebrity and a potential lottery winner? How would they fare under similar circumstances?<\/p>\n<p>Comment by Nate Oats &#8220;You can&#8217;t control what kids do outside of practice&#8221; isn&#8217;t wrong. You can do this Nate. They can be suspended, and you can do the right things.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>If it was Auburn or John Calipari, I would be the same about Bruce Pearl.<\/p>\n<p>Although I&#8217;m not a lawyer, I know that the team should have taken action and not just ignored it.
