So it was kind of like a new generation stepping to the forefront which, again, has always happened in the comics.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He continued, &#8220;Some of those themes are on full display in the thematics of this movie, like what is the responsibility of the last generation? So I think Phase Four was about introducing all these amazing characters and getting the chance to tell these stories.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Now that those players are on the board and there&#8217;s a big bad coming, it&#8217;s about like, &#8220;What will they do? What are they going do with that power?&#8221; Because as you know, perhaps you&#8217;ve heard. Real world to save. Jackman repeatedly stated that he was done playing Wolverine. In 2021, he stated that &#8220;&#8221;Before we shot, I realized this. <em>Logan<\/em>, I was like, \u2018We got the idea, we knew what it was going to be \u2014 ish, right?&#8217; And I thought, \u2018This is it.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>That really helped. Knowing that this was my final season was a huge help. He said, &#8220;That I made the most of it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He concluded: &#8220;And it&#8217;s still a character I hold close to my heart. But I know it&#8217;s done. Tell that to whoever you want, but please tell it to Ryan [Reynolds] because he doesn&#8217;t believe it. He thinks I&#8217;m joking. Please.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-block full\">\n<div class=\"video-player youtube\">[embedded content]<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Jackman will be returning to Wolverine with Ryan Reynolds&#8217; Deadpool, despite having indicated that he had given up on the character. <em>Deadpool 3<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Jackman announced his return to the film during a Ryan Reynold social media announcement.<\/p>\n<p>Reynolds started the video by saying, &#8220;&#8221;This was a difficult decision. He must feel special for his first appearance in MCU. &#8220;We need to keep true to the character and find new depth, motivation, and meaning.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Every Deadpool needs to stand out and stand apart,&#8221; He continued. &#8220;It&#8217;s been an incredible challenge that has forced me to reach down deep inside and I have nothing. Just completely empty up here. And terrifying.
