There will be a 30-day public consultation period before the final version of the rule is published. This comes ahead of Title 42&#8217;s expiration date on May 11. Illegal border apprehensions rose exponentially since Biden was elected, and Republicans have fiercely criticised the president&#8217;s efforts in reversing the previous administration&#8217;s policies.<\/p>\n<p>However, Democrats are scathing of Biden&#8217;s handling. Some are saying that Biden\u2019s recent efforts to fight illegal immigration are similar Trump&#8217;s policies.
