All college juniors are eligible to apply for this program that offers guaranteed employment with the pharmaceutical company. &#8220;demonstrated commitment&#8221; To &#8220;diversity, equity, and inclusion.&#8221; New application guidelines <a href=\"https:\/\/cdn.pfizer.com\/pfizercom\/Program_FAQs_02062023.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">state<\/a> That &#8220;you are eligible to apply for the Breakthrough Fellowship Program regardless of whether you are of Black\/African American, Latino\/Hispanic, or Native American descent.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>These changes are made amid a legal dispute between Pfizer, Do No Harm and a medical advocacy organization that was founded in September <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/latest-news\/pfizer-hit-with-lawsuit-over-fellowship-that-excludes-whites-and-asians\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sued<\/a> The fellowship was denied to the company. Although a federal judge <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/legal\/pfizer-defeats-race-bias-lawsuit-over-minority-fellowship-program-2022-12-17\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tossed out<\/a> Do No Harm filed an answer in December, claiming that the plaintiffs did not have standing. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.courtlistener.com\/docket\/65351936\/do-no-harm-v-pfizer-inc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Appeal<\/a> January 4, 2005 Stanley Goldfarb is the chairman of the group and now takes credit for the changes. He argues that they reflect the ability of lawfare against reverse discrimination.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This significant change was made only after Do No Harm&#8217;s lawsuit, and only because Pfizer knows its fellowship is in jeopardy on appeal,&#8221; Goldfarb is also the father <em>Washington Free Beacon<\/em> Chairman Michael Goldfarb stated in a statement. &#8220;Do No Harm is pleased that Pfizer recognizes its blatant racial discrimination is unlawful and immoral.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Pfizer spokesperson told The Telegraph that the <em>Free Beacon<\/em> The program&#8217;s goals had not changed, and that was the reason why it continued to exist. &#8220;a broad coalition&#8221; strengthens &#8220;our ability to meet these goals.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This reversal was first reported by <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/news\/pfizer-quietly-changes-requirements-for-fellowship-applicants-after-discrimination-lawsuit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">National Review<\/a><\/em>This signals a slight reversal of race-based corporate practices that are now widespread in America. Pfizer isn&#8217;t the only company that flouts anti discrimination law. <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/latest-news\/can-shareholders-challenge-corporate-discrimination-a-conservative-nonprofit-is-about-to-find-out\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Starbucks and JPMorgan<\/a> To <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/campus\/google-partners-with-top-universities-for-this-prestigious-fellowship-lawyers-say-the-racial-and-gender-quotas-its-imposing-are-illegal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Google<\/a> And <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/latest-news\/amazon-faces-suit-over-10k-offer-made-exclusively-to-black-latinx-and-native-american-entrepreneurs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Amazon<\/a>, <em>Fortune<\/em> 500 companies have adopted race-conscious programs with ease, advertising policies and programs that many lawyers consider illegal.<\/p>\n<p>This tendency was most evident in the Breakthrough Fellowship.
