These same dark money groups are back in Georgia to try and replicate their 2020 strategy and test the integrity Georgia&#8217;s elections.<\/p>\n<p>DeKalb County was one of the state\u2019s earlier this month. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.georgia-demographics.com\/counties_by_population\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Most populous<\/a> Localities and other information <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/2020-election\/results\/georgia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Stronghold of the Democratic Party<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dekalbcountyga.gov\/news\/dekalb-county-voter-registration-elections-designated-center-election-excellence\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Announcement<\/a> It had been chosen to join the U.S. Alliance for Election Excellence, and that the county&#8217;s commissions had <a href=\"https:\/\/decaturish.com\/2023\/01\/dekalb-voter-registration-and-elections-receives-2-million-excellence-grant\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Accepted<\/a> The Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL) awarded a grant of $2 million. The Alliance, which was founded last year, is worth $80 millions <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/01\/20\/inside-democrats-newest-election-takeover-scheme-report-unmasks-dark-money-group-youve-probably-never-heard-of\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Venture<\/a> Left-leaning nonprofits &#8220;systematically influence every aspect of election administration&#8221; Democrat-backed voting policy in local elections offices.<\/p>\n<p>Georgia law does not allow for this.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.legis.ga.gov\/api\/legislation\/document\/20212022\/201498\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SB 202<\/a>) prohibiting election superintendents or boards of registrars from directly accepting &#8220;funding, grants, or gifts&#8221; DeKalb County election officials found a way around such provisions to obtain the funding for the Alliance from private entities. <\/p>\n<p>In her remarks, <a href=\"https:\/\/decaturish.com\/2023\/01\/dekalb-voter-registration-and-elections-receives-2-million-excellence-grant\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Decaturish.com<\/a>According to a Georgia newspaper, DeKalb Board of Registration and Elections chair Dele Lowman Smith (a Democrat) admitted that the application for the Alliance grant had been handled by DeKalb&#8217;s financial department and not the board of elections. Lowman Smith says that this was done. &#8220;since election offices are not allowed to receive grants directly.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>The Federalist has obtained a copy of DeKalb\u2019s Alliance grant application. It confirms that the county\u2019s finance department led efforts to obtain the grant. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In [Lowman Smith&#8217;s] own words, she&#8217;s acknowledging that they&#8217;re going to violate the spirit of SB 202,&#8221; Marci McCarthy, chair of the DeKalb County Republican Party told The Federalist. &#8220;They&#8217;re bypassing an open bids process. So, if I have a similar set of services or goods to offer [DeKalb&#8217;s election office] as a business owner \u2026 [I would have] no opportunity to participate in the bidding process.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Groups like CTCL were awarded during the 2020 election.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.techandciviclife.org\/100m\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Many millions of dollars<\/a>\u00a0Mark Zuckerberg, Meta CEO These are the &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/10\/12\/the-2020-election-wasnt-stolen-it-was-bought-by-mark-zuckerberg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Zuckbucks<\/a>&#8221; were given to local election offices across the country in battleground states to help change the way elections are administered. Even worse, the grants were heavily skewed in favor of Democrat-majority areas, effectively making it a massive Democrat getout-the vote operation.<\/p>\n<p>Much like what happened in 2020, the U.S. Alliance for Election Excellence \u2014 of which CTCL is a key partner \u2014 is attempting to replicate such a strategy ahead of the 2024 elections. A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.honestelections.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/HEP_Locke_Alliance-for-Election-Excellence-Report-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Recent Report<\/a>The Honest Elections Project, and the John Locke Foundation showed how the Alliance seeks. <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/01\/20\/inside-democrats-newest-election-takeover-scheme-report-unmasks-dark-money-group-youve-probably-never-heard-of\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">skirt<\/a> Existing &#8220;Zuckbucks&#8221; Interdictions and restrictions imposed by <a href=\"https:\/\/capitalresearch.org\/article\/states-banning-zuck-bucks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">24 states<\/a> By providing election offices &#8220;scholarships&#8221; To cover the cost of membership.
