These include premature rupture of membranes and severe high blood pressure. Diabetes, hemorhaging, cancers, heart disease, and diabetes. As an obstetrician-gynecologist who used to provide abortions early in my training, I know that\u00a0intentional feticide is <em>Never<\/em> It is essential even in the most dire of situations.<\/p>\n<p>This is an example. Preterm birth will be necessary for her, unfortunately. The doctor must empty the womb by early induction in order to attack the infection \u2014 similar to draining an abscess. Because the unborn baby is not viable outside of the womb, it may die. The unborn baby&#8217;s life was not ended. <em>Direct intention<\/em> The infection can be treated.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Byron Calhoun is a high-risk OB\/GYN in West Virginia who sees these cases every day. She believes there is no need to kill the mother to save her unborn child. &#8220;The baby may be delivered prematurely and die from that but it is never necessary to kill the baby to save the mother&#8217;s life,&#8221; I was emailed by him.<\/p>\n<p>Most conditions can be treated without the need for preterm delivery. &#8220;The severe preeclamptic may be observed until the mother&#8217;s medical condition requires delivery,&#8221; He said. &#8220;Unless the mother is bleeding to death, severe heart failure, or septic; there is usually time to wait and see if the baby will make it to resuscitation age at 22+ weeks.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>A miscarriage after chemotherapy for a mother who is pregnant has tragically occurred. <a href=\"https:\/\/prolifereplies.liveaction.org\/medically-necessary\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Not<\/a> an elective abortion.
