At the moment, however, I don&#8217;t think it&#8217;s possible.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;But I do see an opportunity for China to make a pragmatic assessment of what is happening here,&#8221; Zelensky added. &#8220;Because if China allies itself with Russia, there will be a world war, and I do think that China is aware of that.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Antony Blinken, Secretary of State <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/russia-ukraine-putin-politics-antony-blinken-xi-jinping-4501b49359d73b6efbac87b2af54f189\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Warned<\/a> China warned Saturday that Russia could face consequences if it sent lethal aid in support of the war. Blinken was reportedly worried about China embracing Putin and playing a bigger role in the conflict.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;ve been watching this very, very closely. And, for the most part, China has been engaged in providing rhetorical, political, diplomatic support to Russia, but we have information that gives us concern that they are considering providing lethal support to Russia in the war against Ukraine,&#8221; In a Sunday interview, Blinken spoke out after meeting with China\u2019s top foreign policy officer.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Since Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022 the U.S. pledged almost $200 billion in aid to Ukraine. This included weapons, ammunition, long range missiles and tanks. The Wall Street Journal reports that Chinese companies have provided assistance to Russia&#8217;s military by providing navigation equipment, jamming technology and parts for fighter jets. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/china-aids-russias-war-in-ukraine-trade-data-shows-11675466360\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> This month, earlier.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff estimated in November that 100,000 soldiers died on each side and that as many 40,000 civilians were also killed.
