They are literally using their power, influence and knowledge to shut down speech that they might find problematic,&#8221; Pfaff on the a &#8220;Twitter Spaces&#8221; Discussions on Saturday night &#8220;No member of Congress &#8211; unless they got someone who does research on this \u2014 would know that something was a bot.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Pfaff then discussed how worrying it was King was sitting on U.S. Select Committee on Intelligence, 2018, when he allegedly pressed Twitter.<\/p>\n<p>Brakey, King\u2019s ex-Republican opponent in 2018, replied on Saturday night at Taibbi\u2019s report about King allegedly trying silence his supporters.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Matt Taibbi&#8217;s report shows that Angus King&#8217;s staffers tried to silence his political opponent and hundreds of constituents,&#8221; Brakey .<\/p>\n<p>Brakey also added &#8220;What King&#8217;s staff appears to have done on his behalf is repugnant to American values &#8230; Senator King needs to come clean with the people of Maine about his attempts to censor voters and limit freedoms of speech.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Taibbi <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mtaibbi\/status\/1627098975391064065\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Submitted<\/a> You can follow us on Twitter &#8220;King&#8217;s spreadsheet gambit&#8221; Looked &#8220;tame&#8221; in its attempt at influence Twitter, in comparison with his previous reporting on the subject &#8220;crazy requests&#8221; Rep. Adam Schiff (D. CA) allegedly gave the aforementioned information to him. He wanted to &#8220;ban a reporter and stop &#8216;any and all search results&#8217; about a staffer.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The journalist also communicated via Twitter. <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mtaibbi\/status\/1627098971138142209\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">You have sent an email<\/a> purportedly from Mark Lenzi (State Department official), who requested the removal of, Taibbi said, &#8220;The State Department&#8221;. &#8220;14 accounts distinguished among other things by skepticism of Russiagate.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In my work I have been able to identify a lot of Russian controlled Twitter accounts that have made it through some of your purges,&#8221; Lenzi wrote allegedly in an email to Twitter. &#8220;The below are some Russian government controlled accounts that I think you will want to look into and delete.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div class=\"Enhancement\">\n<div class=\"Enhancement-item\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">11.A government official writes from an email of State department asking for information. &#8220;delete&#8221; 14 accounts are involved in legit speech, but there is no evidence that they are Russian-controlled bots or controlled by Russia.
