Not even when it comes down to violations of US sovereignty.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, he made a surprise announcement. <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/02\/16\/biden-speaks-on-ufo-shootdowns-after-days-of-silence\/\">The trio of mystery objects were taken down<\/a> US forces after last week\u2019s spy-balloon fiasco. &#8220;Nothing suggests that they were related right now.&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/02\/16\/downed-chinese-balloon-aimed-for-hawaii-blown-off-course\/\">China&#8217;s spy satellite program<\/a>&#8220;Yes,&#8221; insisted the prez. &#8220;or that they were surveillance vehicles from any other country.&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ok, so why did they have to be shot? &#8220;We could not rule out the surveillance risk to sensitive facilities,&#8221; He stated. <\/p>\n<p>So it is &#8220;shoot first&#8221; What is the future of the rule? It was it? <em>It is supposed <\/em>to have been the rule before now? How \u2014 and why \u2014 did we go overnight from &#8220;wait and see&#8221; to DefCon 5 Reporters surely would&#8217;ve asked those questions \u2014 but Biden didn&#8217;t take any.<\/p>\n<p>After several days <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/02\/15\/biden-refuses-for-5th-day-to-discuss-benign-ufos-shootdown\/\">When the president said nothing<\/a> He was very thin on the subject. He also repeated the absurd claim that he had given the order to shoot the Chinese balloon down. &#8220;as soon as it would be safe to do so.&#8221; (Which turned up to be the meaning of <em> after <\/em>Let it roam the country, wandering through low-population areas and taking a look at our nuke sites for a week.<\/p>\n<p>The whole thing remains completely a mystery. Which gives major credence to the theory that 1) the White House kept the first balloon quiet (until private citizens spotted it and got the word out) in an effort to avoid having to cancel Secretary of State Antony Blinken&#8217;s trip to Beijing, and 2) that everything subsequent \u2014 including our new, aggressive anti-balloon posture \u2014 is pure butt-covering.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Biden will not do more than pretend, unless and until he does.<em> <\/em>To sum it all, there is no reason for anyone to believe anything else.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President Joe Biden cannot tell the truth to save his life.
