A Creve Coeur, Missouri officer saw a white sedan that would not stay in one lane while following up on the call. After field sobriety tests and the officer\u2019s personal observations, McLaughlin was arrested for a DWI.<\/p>\n<p>McLaughlin would have to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kmov.com\/2022\/12\/15\/dan-mclaughlin-out-cards-broadcaster-following-third-dwi-arrest\/\">step down<\/a> He resigned from his position as a club member after 24 seasons. It discussed where he was at the moment mentally as well as his future plans. This was a very deep and honest statement for someone in public spotlight. It was likely that the mic man felt it because of his past. <em>Not required<\/em> to do.<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-block full\">\n<div class=\"video-player youtube\">[embedded content]<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>McLaughlin\u2019s statement, in part, discussed him coming to terms with the fact that he would have to make some major life changes. The 48-year old announcer tried to be straightforward about his situation.<\/p>\n<div class=\"article__section article__section_type_text utility__text\">\n<p>\u201cMy life, as I knew it, was essentially over at 6:15 p.m. and less than three miles away from my home on that Sunday evening,\u201d In the statement, he stated.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"article__section article__section_type_text utility__text\">\n<p>McLaughlin said that he has been through outpatient therapy, and is currently attending Alcoholics Anonymous.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"article__section article__section_type_text utility__text\">\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m on the right path. McLaughlin is a native of the Gateway City. He attended Lindenwood University in college and is now about as \u2018St. Louis\u2019 As pork steaks, toasted ravioli. His roots in the community run deep, and he\u2019s considered one of the community\u2019s favorite sons.<\/p>\n<p>For a while, he worked at KMOX&#8217;s 50,000-watt powerhouse KMOX. This was a milestone for many great broadcasters. McLaughlin&#8217;s passing not only caused pain for the team but also the community.<\/p>\n<p>The majority of the fans are affectionately called &#8220;Fans&#8221;. \u2018Cardinal Nation\u2019, seem to be on the beleaguered broadcaster\u2019s side in his battle with alcoholism.
