Bar membership.<\/p>\n<p class=\"a8d-pre\">Hunter is a>=&#8221;https:\/\/www.jud.ct.gov\/attorneyfirminquiry\/CommonTerms.aspx&#8221;>forbidden<\/a> from practicing law in Connecticut until he pays the $75 fee assessed to every lawyer in the state and a $75 reinstatement fee, according to Section 2-79 of Connecticut\u2019s Practice Book.\u00a0A\u00a0<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jud.ct.gov\/attorneyfirminquiry\/JurisDetail.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Search<\/a>\u00a0of Connecticut\u2019s license database reveals Hunter failed to pay the small fee three times in two years.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>The database shows Hunter\u2019s license was first administratively suspended on March 16, 2021. Hunter was also flagged as of June 14, 2022. \u201cfailure to pay the Client Security Fund fee in accordance with Practice Book Section 2-70.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hunter is not paying the fee. Lawyers can pay the fee online at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.jud.ct.gov\/\">www.jud.ct.gov<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"a8d-pre\">An annual fee is charged to lawyers \u201cpromote public confidence in the judicial system and the integrity of the legal profession by reimbursing clients, to the extent provided for by these rules, for losses resulting from the dishonest conduct of attorneys practicing law in this state,\u201d the state\u2019s Practice Book states.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p class=\"ContentPasted1 elementToProof\">The suspended status of Hunter\u2019s Connecticut license shows it is registered at an address located in Washington, DC, at the House of Sweden, an office space he used to\u00a0<a class=\"ContentPasted1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2023\/01\/16\/hunter-biden-49910-rent-matches-deposit-houseofsweden-cefc-china-energy\/\">Facilitate<\/a>\u00a0CEFC China Energy Co. signed a Chinese energy contract. In 2017, Hunter earned a\u00a0$1 million legal retainer from the company\u2019s chairman, Ye Jianming. After the 2017 CEFC energy deal failed in 2017, Hunter appeared to have cancelled his lease with House of Sweden. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/07\/28\/report-hunters-alarmed-biz-partner-called-joe-biden-big-guy-again-2020\/\">Send an email<\/a> a ten percent equity stake in the joint venture, Hunter\u2019s former business partner Tony Bobulinski. The House of Sweden was established in 2018. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2023\/01\/16\/hunter-biden-49910-rent-matches-deposit-houseofsweden-cefc-china-energy\/\">Acceded<\/a> Breitbart News first reported Hunter&#8217;s $49,910 rent deposit.<\/p>\n<p>Despite being administratively suspended in Connecticut, Hunter is permitted to practice law in Washington, DC, even though\u00a0there has been\u00a0confusion about whether he is a member of the D.C. Bar. According to the bar\u2019s record search, he\u2019s been\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/my.dcbar.org\/directorymemberships?id=0014z00001kYvodAAC\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Barred<\/a>\u00a0Since 2007.<\/p>\n<p>However,\u00a0when Breitbart News requested comment from the D.C. Bar\u2019s Office of Disciplinary Counsel on whether Hunter would\u00a0be disciplined by\u00a0the District for\u00a0his\u00a0Connecticut\u00a0license being administratively suspended, the Office of Disciplinary Counsel claimed Hunter was \u201cnot a member of the D.C. Bar.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"a8d-pre\">The bar\u2019s statement was <a href=\"https:\/\/federalnewsnetwork.com\/government-news\/2014\/10\/bidens-son-faces-no-bar-review-after-discharge\/\">consisent<\/a> with the Associated Press\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.triblive.com\/news\/bidens-son-hunter-under-no-bar-review-after-navy-reserve-discharge-for-cocaine-use\/\">reporting<\/a> The claim for the title was first made in 2014. \u201cCurrent District of Columbia bar records do not show Biden as member.\u201d However, Hunter\u2019s D.C. Bar license says he was admitted in 2007.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>The bar\u2019s statement\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/federalnewsnetwork.com\/government-news\/2014\/10\/bidens-son-faces-no-bar-review-after-discharge\/\">Mirrors<\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.triblive.com\/news\/bidens-son-hunter-under-no-bar-review-after-navy-reserve-discharge-for-cocaine-use\/\">reporting<\/a> by the Associated\u00a0Press from 2014 in which\u00a0it claimed the \u201cCurrent District of Columbia bar records do not show Biden as member.\u201d However, Hunter\u2019s D.C. Bar license\u00a0states\u00a0he was admitted in 2007.\u00a0Both the Bar and the AP were unaware that the President\u2019s son has been admitted to practice in D.C. for 16 years.<\/p>\n<p>Breitbart News followed up by sending a screenshot of the search query of the D.C. Bar\u2019s website that listed Hunter as a member. The D.C. Bar\u2019s Office of Disciplinary Counsel replied they had searched their records in error and that Hunter was indeed a member of the D.C. Bar.<\/p>\n<p>Members of the public can locate Hunter\u2019s license by searching the D.C. Bar\u2019s records by simply searching \u201cBiden.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentPasted0 elementToProof\">\u201cI confirmed,\u201d Phil Fox, D.C. Bar Disciplinary Counsel, responded. \u201cHe is admitted in D.C.; we just didn\u2019t know his [Hunter Biden] first name was Robert when we looked him up.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"a8d-pre\">Breitbart News was told by legal experts that Hunter should not report an administrative suspension to D.C. Bar for failing pay the fee. Instead, this would be done upon disciplinary action. The D.C. Bar also confirmed to Breitbart News\u00a0that \u201cunder our rules, reciprocal discipline would not be imposed for an administrative\u201d suspension.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B4\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p><span class=\"x_ContentPasted0\"><span class=\"x_ContentPasted1 x_ContentPasted3\">Andy McCarthy, former Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, told Breitbart News that Hunter\u2019s failure to pay the fee could be an accidental oversight.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cObviously, the failure to pay a $75 fee could just be an oversight \u2014 not uncommon with lawyers who do their own bookkeeping and aren\u2019t good at it,\u201d He said. \u201cIn general, I don\u2019t think there is anything unethical about failing to pay a fee; it would be unethical to practice without a license, so to the extent the fee is a condition of the license that could be relevant.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It is unknown if Hunter has engaged in\u00a0the practice of law\u00a0in Connecticut since his license was administratively suspended nearly two years ago.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_23027528\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/AP22225816067541-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-23027528\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/AP22225816067541-1.jpg\" alt=\"President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden leave Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Johns Island, S.C., after attending a Mass, Saturday, Aug. 13, 2022. (AP Photo\/Manuel Balce Ceneta).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"attachment_22309063\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\">\n<p>Hunter passed the Connecticut bar for the first time in Connecticut in 1997, shortly after graduating from Yale Law School.\u00a0The Connecticut bar exam&#8217;s first-time test takers have a high passing rate.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbex.org\/statistics-and-research\/bar-exam-results\/\">It is<\/a> around 70 percent.<\/p>\n<p>Hunter\u00a0<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/04\/09\/hunter-benefited-from-joe-bidens-connections-his-whole-career\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">This was<\/a>\u00a0Yale Law School is open to anyone who has graduated from Georgetown Law School. Yale\u2019s acceptance rate is notoriously difficult and perhaps the most difficult in the nation. According to The\u00a0<em>New York Post<\/em>, former President Bill Clinton asked Yale\u2019s former dean, Guido Calabresi, to accept Hunter into the school:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Calabresi, who had walled off the dean\u2019s office from the admissions process at Yale Law to avoid just such pressure, told Clinton that he would not intercede. Hunter was rejected by the admissions department.<\/p>\n<p>Calabresi met Hunter and encouraged him to apply to Yale as an exchange student. Hunter Biden attended Georgetown University Law for one year and was then admitted to Yale in 1994.<\/p>\n<p>Calabresi was also nominated by Clinton to the federal judgeship in that same year. At the time, Sen. Joe Biden was chairman of the Judiciary Committee, the person in charge of shepherding Calabresi\u2019s nomination.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<p>Hunter\u2019s unconventional acceptance to Yale Law School is just one example of the preferential treatment he has received due to his last name. Hunter&#8217;s international business transactions have been huge in 12 countries over his entire legal career, earning him millions of dollars, while his father was an American official.<\/p>\n<p>Hunter will be available in 2019\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2019\/10\/15\/hunter-biden-admits-fathers-position-helped-secure-83k-per-month-burisma-role-its-a-swamp-in-many-ways\/\">admitted<\/a>\u00a0He would have not been able conduct business all over the globe if his father was not vice president.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t know. I don\u2019t know. Probably not, in retrospect,\u201d Hunter said so to ABC News. \u201cBut that\u2019s\u2014you know\u2014I don\u2019t think that there\u2019s a lot of things that would have happened in my life if my last name wasn\u2019t Biden.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"a8d-pre\">2018 and 2020: Breitbart Senior Contributor, Government Accountability Institute President Peter Schweizer published\u00a0<i>Secret Empires<\/i>\u00a0And\u00a0<i>Profils in Corruption<\/i>. Each book reached #1 on the\u00a0<i>New York Times<\/i>\u00a0bestseller list and exposed how Hunter Biden and Joe Biden flew aboard Air Force Two in 2013 to China before Hunter\u2019s firm\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/2020-election\/2019\/05\/04\/vanity-fair-hunter-bidens-1-5-billion-bank-of-china-deal-looming-on-the-horizon-as-campaign-scandal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Inked<\/a>\u00a0a $1.5 billion deal with a subsidiary of the Chinese government\u2019s Bank of China less than two weeks after the trip.
