The sale doesn\u2019t quite make sense, because the plane is still in existence and flying around the world. That raises the question, why didn\u2019t he destroy it like it was one of those \u201ccash for clunkers\u201d Are there cars from the Obama era<\/p>\n<p>That opening should not be taken as a dig at Kerry\u2019s gold-digging ways. He may be a millionaire many times over because he wifed-up his ex-Senate colleague John Heinz\u2019s widow, but it was his spokesperson who made it known that the controversial aircraft in question had been traded for some sweet moolah from an unknown buyer actually wasn\u2019t in Kerry\u2019s name.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSecretary Kerry travels commercially in his role as Special Presidential Envoy for Climate,\u201d Whitney Smith, Kerry\u2019s spokeswoman, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/john-kerry-family-private-jet-sold-shortly-after-accusations-climate-hypocrisy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Telled<\/a> Fox News. \u201cI can confirm the plane previously owned by his wife\u2019s family was sold last summer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to reports, the plane was sold to a New York-based hedge funds.<\/p>\n<p>As Fox News first reported over the summer, Kerry\u2019s jet had emitted more than 715,800 pounds of CO2 over 48 trips since he became the Special Climate Envoy.<\/p>\n<p>Kerry has stated that he was defending his trips in the past by claiming that the private plane was the only way for someone like him to travel around the globe. Fox News reported that Kerry abandoned it after being criticised.<\/p>\n<p>However, it seems that the jet is still being used by somebody \u2014 which means that Kerry\u2019s decision to sell it really does not matter. It&#8217;s still producing CO2.<\/p>\n<p>Had Kerry actually cared about reducing emissions, he would have destroyed it and used the parts for a wind turbine or maybe a modern art exhibit to be sold alongside Hunter Biden\u2019s artwork.<\/p>\n<p>Come to think of it, why doesn\u2019t Kerry restart an elite version of \u201cCash for Clunkers?\u201d Some readers may have enjoyed the program that took thousands off the roads in exchange for government money. According to one report, almost 700,000 cars were exchanged under this program. The program was expensive at $3 billion, and James Gilboy, of TheDrive, described it as being pretty useless in fighting climate change.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[Cash for Clunkers]\u2019s effect on U.S. fleet fuel consumption was further diluted by subsequent years of record car sales: since 2010, over 185 million new cars have been sold in the U.S. according to <a href=\"https:\/\/axlewise.com\/car-sales-stats\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Axelwise<\/a>,\u201d Gilboy was still alive as of August 2022.<\/p>\n<p>So the reality on the ground \u2014 and in the sky for that matter \u2014 is that leftist policies to reduce emissions have always failed.<\/p>\n<p>But we know Kerry doesn&#8217;t view it that way. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/at-davos-john-kerry-praises-select-group-of-people-for-saving-the-planet-but-says-they-need-money-money-money\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">I flew to Davos<\/a> To congratulate himself and his millionaire buddies. He exclaimed to his colleagues at The World Economic Forum that they should consider themselves real-world Supermen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you stop and think about it, it\u2019s pretty extraordinary that we \u2014 a select group of human beings because of whatever touched us at some point in our lives \u2014 are able to sit in a room and come together and actually talk about saving the planet,\u201d Kerry was elated at the WEF. \u201cI mean, it\u2019s so almost extraterrestrial to think about \u2018saving the planet.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kerry added: \u201cIf you said that to most people, most people would think you\u2019re just a crazy, tree-hugging, leftie, liberal do-gooder \u2026 but really that\u2019s where we are.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kerry appears to have no interest in reducing carbon emissions based on his actions. He cares more about money.
