It is powerful. It sends a really strong message,\u201d Rihanna spoke to British Vogue at a recent a href=&#8221;https:\/\/www.vogue.co.uk\/arts-and-lifestyle\/article\/rihanna-british-vogue-interview&#8221;>interview<\/a>. This comment referred to last year\u2019s Super Bowl halftime show, which included performances by Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg, and Eminem.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cUmbrella\u201d Singer said that her decision was also influenced by having her first child.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRaising a young black man is one of the scariest responsibilities in life. You\u2019re like, \u2018What am I leaving my kids to? This is the planet they\u2019re gonna be living on?\u2019 All of those things really start to hit differently,\u201d She told the publication.<\/p>\n<p>After boycotting the event publicly just a few year ago, Rihanna surprised her fans by agreeing that she would perform. After taking to the stage in a figure-hugging dress that showed off her baby bump, she stunned them all again. Rihanna was later confirmed by her representative.<\/p>\n<p>The Barbados-born recording artist later said that her decision to perform was also influenced by her mother&#8217;s birth. \u201cIt\u2019s this knowing that you can do anything,\u201d She spoke to British Vogue.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat the heck am I thinking? But you\u2019re geeked on a challenge like that because you know what your body just did,\u201d Rihanna continued. \u201cYou feel this sense of \u2018Nothing is impossible.\u2019\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The singer spoke out about choosing projects she felt were worthy of her time since the birth of her son.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you make decisions of what you\u2019re going to say yes to, it has to be worth it,\u201d She spoke during a press conference for Apple Music, as The Daily Wire reported previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/rihanna-confirms-pregnancy-rumors-from-super-bowl-reveal\">reported<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s important for me to do this this year. It\u2019s important for representation.
