Johnson and Rubio now want an inquiry into the flow of taxpayer money to GDI which intends to end disfavored speech.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n<br \/><b><u><br \/>\n<a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/ingraham-angle-fantastic-washington-examiner-report-state-dept-censorship\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WATCH: INGRAHAM ANGLE OUTS \u2018FANTASTIC\u2019 WASHINGTON EXAMINER &#8211; STATE DEPT. CENSORSHIP<\/a><br \/>\n<\/u><\/b>\n<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Free speech is fundamental to preserving our liberty,&#8221; Johnson, who is a member of the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations and ranked in the top 10, told the <i>Washington Examiner<\/i>. &#8220;If taxpayer dollars are being used to censor voices because they are critical of the administration\u2019s disastrous policies, every American should be concerned. We need to further investigate this potential First Amendment violation.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n<a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/listen-mark-levin-gabe-kaminsky-discuss-conservative-blacklisted\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GDI compiles a &#8220;dynamic exclusion list&#8221;<\/a><br \/>\n This list is subscribed by advertising companies. This list is maintained by the <i>Washington Examiner <\/i>It was discovered that it contains sites the group considers disinformation peddlers. Separately, GDI said that the 10 &#8220;riskiest&#8221; Websites are the <i>American Spectator<\/i>Newsmax,<i>\u00a0Federalist<\/i>The <i>American Conservative\u00a0<\/i>One America News, <i>Blaze,\u00a0<\/i>The <i>Daily Wire<\/i>, <i>RealClearPolitics &#8211; Reason<\/i>The, and <i>New York Post<\/i>.\n<\/p>\n<p>Microsoft&#8217;s Xandr is an advertising company that has subscribed to the list. This helped defund conservative sites. Follow the <i>Washington Examiner<\/i><br \/>\n<a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/restoring-america\/equality-not-elitism\/disinformation-inc-read-one-of-the-blacklists-used-secretly-to-defund-conservative-news\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Publishing Xandr\u2019s<\/a><br \/>\n a blacklist for the company, and launched an<br \/>\n<a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/technology\/disinformation-inc-microsoft-xander-conservative-defunded-outlets\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Internal review<\/a><br \/>\n And<br \/>\n<a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/restoring-america\/equality-not-elitism\/disinformation-inc-microsoft-conservative-media-defunded-xandr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The relationship was terminated<\/a><br \/>\n With GDI.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe internet was intended to democratize speech and the State Department has a mandate to stop authoritarian regimes&#8217; attempts to silence it, but we\u2019re now seeing just the opposite as governments and corporations collude to silence certain points of view,&#8221; Rubio, vice chairman of the Select Intelligence Committee, told the <i>Washington Examiner<\/i>.\n<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Americans deserve a full accounting of how their taxpayer dollars were used, and those responsible for violating the public trust should be held accountable,&#8221; Rubio was added.\n<\/p>\n<p>The public is still not privy to the full extent of GDI\u2019s blacklist.
