In a rare <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-features\/harrison-ford-interview-shrinking-indy-5-1923-1235318736\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Interview <\/a>Last week, the Hollywood Reporter interviewed the actor who is media-shy and shared his knowledge of how he, at age 80, knows everything \u201cwho the f-ck\u201d He is. <\/p>\n<p>When asked about prior therapy sessions, he replied that he had disclosed them in 2002. \u201cMy opinion is not of the profession, it\u2019s of the practitioner,\u201d Ford said. \u201cThere are all kinds of therapy. I\u2019m sure many of them are useful to many people. I\u2019m not anti-therapy for anybody \u2014 except for myself. I know who the f-ck I am at this point.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Hollywood Reporter asked him to provide his own analysis. He replied: \u201cYour fans online have done some armchair diagnosis, looking at things you\u2019ve said about being shy in social situations and some of your talk show appearances. Some assume you\u2019ve wrestled with social anxiety disorder. Are they onto something?\u201d Then came Ford\u2019s reply:<\/p>\n<p>Sh-t. Sounds like something a psychiatrist would tell you, not just a casual observer. No. I don\u2019t have a social anxiety disorder. I hate boring situations.<\/p>\n<p>Ford is right. We don\u2019t have a mental health crisis as much as we have a lifestyle crisis. That\u2019s not to deny that people are seriously suffering, which is as fundamental to the human experience as pleasure. Yet, it seems that everyone is unaware of the reasons they suffer.<\/p>\n<p>Ford, in his later years, has made the self-discovery journey that very few people are able to and willingly take. Instead, a wave of apathy has taken over a population that\u2019s succumbed to the pursuit of cheap and immediate dopamine hits through weed, porn, <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/10\/10\/the-biggest-lie-of-a-generation-a-life-online-is-a-life-well-lived\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Netflix and Instagram<\/a>It is powered by a ready-to-eat, processed diet. And it\u2019s made everyone sick. People generally aren\u2019t happy when they\u2019re sick.<\/p>\n<p>Americans are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marketwatch.com\/story\/americans-are-lonelier-than-ever-and-thats-bad-for-your-health-11668103184\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lonelier <\/a>More <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usnews.com\/news\/health-news\/articles\/2022-09-19\/depression-affects-almost-1-in-10-americans\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Depressed <\/a>They are more than ever. They\u2019re are also being <a href=\"https:\/\/www.webmd.com\/drug-medication\/news\/20170803\/americans-taking-more-prescription-drugs-than-ever-survey\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Prescribed <\/a>There are more drugs than ever before, but suicide rates have risen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/nchs\/products\/databriefs\/db433.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">30%<\/a> Since 2000, life expectancy has been increasing steadily. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/nchs\/pressroom\/nchs_press_releases\/2022\/20220831.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Receipt<\/a>. Clearly, something\u2019s not working, especially when 1 in 10 Americans is affected by depression despite antidepressant use at an all-time <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/07\/09\/style\/medication-depression-anxiety-adhd.html#:~:text=The%20pandemic%27s%20true%20toll%20on,conditions%20like%20A.D.H.D.%20and%20depression.&#038;text=As%20a%20subscriber%2C%20you%20have,articles%20to%20give%20each%20month.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">High<\/a>. One <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usnews.com\/news\/health-news\/articles\/2022-04-20\/in-long-run-antidepressants-dont-improve-quality-of-life-study\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Study <\/a>from a team of researchers in Saudi Arabia published last year found antidepressants don\u2019t even raise the quality of life over time.<\/p>\n<p>Our ruling class of elites profits most when we\u2019re chronically fat, sick, and depressed, so they keep us hooked on pills engineered by Big Pharma, eager to capitalize on every ailment from anxiety to obesity. An intolerant culture to honesty and self-reflection seems to overlook the possibility that anxious or depressed people may have their own problems. <em>Mentality<\/em> At least some of their problems can be attributed to them.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a groundbreaking study <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s41380-022-01661-0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Publiziert<\/a> Last summer, the journal of Molecular Psychiatry reported that antidepressants have little effect on placebos.
