It\u2019s hard to tell, it\u2019s pretty small.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Another pilot stated that he couldn&#8217;t tell what the object was.\u00a0\u201cmetallic or what.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can see, like, lines coming down below, but I can\u2019t see anything below it,\u201d He continued, stating that the object was \u201cdefinitely smaller than a car.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pilots claimed that it was a\u00a0\u201cblackish\u201d Color that looked like it was in a container<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe size of it, that would be challenging \u2026 it\u2019s so slow and so small, I just can\u2019t see it because it\u2019s so close,\u201d Pilot said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m going to call it a balloon,\u201d Another pilot stated the same. \u201cYou can definitely see strings hanging down below but I don\u2019t see anything more. \u2026 It\u2019s pretty small, I don\u2019t know, about the size of, like a four-wheeler or something.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Air Force F-16 aircraft had to fire 2 Sidewinder AIM-9X missiles of $472,000 at the target in order to take down the object. The first missile was misplaced.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe first Sidewinder heat-seeking missile missed the target,\u201d An official in defense <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/us-military-first-shot-unknown-octagonal-object-lake-huron-missed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-reader-unique-id=\"50\">Submitted<\/a> Fox News.<\/p>\n<p>The object was shot down at approximately 20,000 feet in U.S. Airspace near Michigan.<\/p>\n<p>According to U.S. officials, this object was detected late Saturday evening over Montana. U.S. fighter aircrafts were unable to locate it at that time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBased on its flight path and data we can reasonably connect this object to the radar signal picked up over Montana, which flew in proximity to sensitive DOD sites,\u201d In a statement, the Pentagon stated. \u201cWe did not assess it to be a kinetic military threat to anything on the ground, but assess it was a safety flight hazard and a threat due to its potential surveillance capabilities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It is not yet possible to locate any debris from the object.<\/p>\n[embedded content]\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cockpit audio from the F-16 fighter jets that were scrambled to intercept an unidentified object flying over Lake Huron over the weekend reveals that the pilots had difficulty describing what they believed the object was.
