They claim it violates their First Amendment rights. Fox News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/doctors-threatened-covid-19-views-gear-up-possible-scotus-fight-california-misinformation-law\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>California doctor Aaron Kheriaty and\u00a0four other physicians sued Newsom in November and are prepared to bring the case &#8220;all the way&#8221; The group spoke to Fox via the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n<p>Newsom in September 2022 signed <a href=\"https:\/\/legiscan.com\/CA\/text\/AB2098\/id\/2604233\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Assembly Bill 2098<\/a>\u00a0To stop the spread &#8220;misinformation and disinformation&#8221; About COVID.\u00a0 The bill was originally set to go into effect January 1, but it was stopped by a California federal judge. &#8220;unconstitutionally vague&#8221; They granted the doctors a preliminary order.<\/p>\n<p>California doctors claim that Assembly Bill 2098 violates their 1st Amendment and 14th Amendment rights.
