Goecke was allegedly angry about a bad review H\u00fcster had written about one of his shows in The Netherlands and claimed she was responsible for people canceling season tickets to his performances.<\/p>\n<p>According to reports, the ballet director ahref=&#8221;https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/crime&#8221;>retaliated<\/a> by smearing dog feces in the critic\u2019s face on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe didn\u2019t just throw it at me. He pulled out the bag with the open side of the bag and rubbed it in my face brutally, so the dog poop would stick in my face,\u201d H\u00fcster <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/german-ballet-director-marco-goecke-accused-of-throwing-dog-feces-on-critic\">Telled<\/a> The Daily Beast reported the incident. \u201cOne moment we were still talking and the next moment his fist was in my face. When I realized what he had done, I screamed. I was so shocked, so panicked. You can\u2019t imagine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would like to apologize sincerely to all concerned, first and foremost to Ms. H\u00fcster, for my absolutely unacceptable act,\u201d Goecke made the statement in writing. \u201cIn retrospect, I am clearly aware that this was a disgraceful act in the heat of the moment and an overreaction,\u201d He went on.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the incident happened following a \u201cnervous strain of two premieres in quick succession\u201d Persisting in The Hague, on February 9th, and Hanover, on Saturday. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/style\/article\/ballet-director-dog-feces-critic-intl-scli\/index.html\">CNN<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Next, the director attempted to defend his actions, saying H\u00fcster should \u201crethink a certain form of destructive and hurtful reporting that damages the whole cultural sector\u201d She was accused of posting. \u201cnasty reviews.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI apologize for the fact that I finally blew my top, but I also ask for a certain understanding at least for the reasons why this happened,\u201d He wrote.
