In addition, Alex\u2019s parents were in poor health and he wanted to visit them, but Maggie didn\u2019t want to see them suffer. Proctor encouraged Maggie to accompany Alex. \u201cneeds you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Proctor never spoke to her sister again.<\/p>\n<p>Alex is on trial for allegedly killing Maggie and the couple\u2019s youngest son, Paul, who had been indicted for manslaughter following a boat crash that killed a teenage girl.<\/p>\n<p>Proctor testified that Alex&#8217;s behavior after the murder of his family was unusual, and that Alex went alone to visit his parents the night before the murders. \u201cthe whole reason [Maggie] went home that night\u201d Alex to go. Proctor also said Alex\u2019s response to her question about whether he knew who might have killed Maggie and Paul was strange.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe said that he did not know who it was, but he felt like whoever did it had thought about it for a really long time,\u201d She testified.<\/p>\n<p>She said Alex and her never discussed killing the killer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe never talked about finding the person who could have done it,\u201d She testified. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2023\/02\/14\/us\/alex-murdaugh-wife-sister-proctor.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">According to The New York Times<\/a>. \u201cIt was just odd.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In fact, Proctor said, Alex seemed more concerned with proving that Paul hadn\u2019t been driving the boat the night of the crash in 2019 that killed 19-year-old Mallory Beach.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe said that his number one goal was to clear Paul\u2019s name, and I thought that was strange because my number one goal was to find out who killed my sister and Paul,\u201d According to BuzzFeed, Proctor stated that. \u201cI don\u2019t know how he could have thought about anything else.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Proctor is the latest person close to the Murdaugh family to testify about Alex\u2019s odd behavior following the murder of his wife and son. On Friday, the family\u2019s housekeeper, Blanca Turrubiate-Simpson, who had worked for the family for more than 10 years, testified that she was asked to clean the home the morning after the murders, The Daily Wire previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/alex-murdaugh-trial-housekeeper-says-disgraced-attorney-asked-her-to-clean-house-after-wife-son-were-murdered\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Turrubiate\u2013Simpson stated that she noticed many strange things as she moved through the house. For example, the pots she used for dinner were put away after she left them there the next day.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was kind of unusual,\u201d She told jurors.<\/p>\n<p>She also found Maggie\u2019s pajamas laid out neatly on the floor of the doorway leading to the laundry room, something the housekeeper said wouldn\u2019t normally happen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat was very unusual. She wouldn\u2019t leave her clothes out like that. Not in the middle of the door like that,\u201d Turrubiate-Simpson testified. \u201cIt just didn\u2019t look right to me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It appeared that someone had also raked in the house, as she discovered a puddle on the floor near the shower, a towel, a pair khaki pants and a white T shirt.<\/p>\n<p>The housekeeper also spoke about Alex\u2019s attire changing on the day his wife and son were murdered. She said that Alex was wearing khaki pants with a seafoam polo shirt. This was captured by Paul in a Snapchat video earlier in the day. When Alex was interviewed by police following the murders, he was wearing a white shirt and shorts.
