Biden is 80 years old and the oldest ever to serve as president.<\/p>\n<p>Scheiner stated that the White House is unlikely to release much new information.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019re not going to learn anything. They sugarcoat these things,\u201d Scheiner said that Scheiner was the <i>Washington Examiner<\/i>, explaining that the president\u2019s expected reelection campaign adds weight to the <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/biden-physical-january-deadline\">Transparency is required<\/a> over the president\u2019s health.<\/p>\n<p><b><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/biden-economic-plan-wage-growth\">WHITE HOUSE ADAMANT BIDEN&#8217;S ECONOMIC PLAN IS NOT SLOWING WAGE GHROWTH<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy the time he completes [a second term], he\u2019ll be 86 years old; I don\u2019t care if he\u2019s in perfect health now,\u201d said Scheiner. \u201cI don\u2019t care if he\u2019s in perfect health now \u2014 which, I can\u2019t believe he\u2019s in perfect health. He\u2019s had too many things in his past history.<\/p>\n<p>He said, \u201cIt worries me that he is aging. If I look at him, he\u2019s not a young 80.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Scheiner explained that Biden\u2019s gait, which the president\u2019s physician described in 2021 as \u201cperceptibly stiffer and less fluid\u201d His health could be an indicator of his overall health if he is older than one year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe gait is not an insignificant factor,\u201d He said that it lends itself to being a good friend. \u201ca peek into the whole physical, mental capability of a person.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s annual <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/white-house-physician-declares-biden-fit-for-duty-after-investigating-persistent-cough-and-stiffened-gait\">Physical examination<\/a> The date is Feb. 16, two weeks later than the White House initially announced after it had slipped from 2022 to the new Year. The White House had <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/press-briefings\/2023\/02\/01\/press-briefing-by-press-secretary-karine-jean-pierre-14\/\">Attributed<\/a> the delay to Biden\u2019s travel schedule.<\/p>\n<p>Biden said that part of the exam had been completed last year to reporters during Thanksgiving.<\/p>\n<p>The delay has lent ammunition for Biden\u2019s political opponents questioning the president\u2019s ability to lead the country ahead of an expected reelection bid. Biden <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/biden-80-birthday-2024-reelection\">Turned 80<\/a> In November, and would be 86 at expiration of the second term.<\/p>\n<p>Scheiner suggested that the evaluation include a neurocognitive exam, or even an MRI. However Scheiner called this unlikely given the possibility of uncovering new frailties.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe one thing they don\u2019t check is a careful examination of the mind,\u201d He said. \u201cI don\u2019t think any candidate wants it. They\u2019re afraid they might find something.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said, \u201cBiden had an aneurysm repaired. When you do work on the brain, there\u2019s always a little damage done. He\u2019s had that atrial fibrillation \u2014 that can sometimes throw off small strokes. They\u2019re leaving a whole area of concern in my mind.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s press secretary said the president\u2019s longtime physician would issue a public memo assessing his health. \u201cWe want to be transparent, want to make sure you have the information,\u201d <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/karine-jean-pierre\">Karine Jean Pierre<\/a> According to reporters, Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s last physical was completed in November 2021, when the president\u2019s physician wrote that he \u201cremains <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/white-house-physician-declares-biden-fit-for-duty-after-investigating-persistent-cough-and-stiffened-gait\">fit for duty<\/a>, and fully executes all of his responsibilities without any exemptions or accommodations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Still, Dr. Kevin O\u2019Connor, Biden\u2019s physician since he was vice president, noted two areas of \u201cobservation\u201d: the president\u2019s \u201cincreasing frequency and severity of \u2018throat clearing\u2019 and coughing during speaking engagements\u201d A gait and an emcee \u201cperceptibly stiffer and less fluid than it was a year or so ago.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During Biden\u2019s <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/biden-tests-positive-for-covid-19\">Case COVID-19<\/a> last year, the White House declined to make O\u2019Connor available to reporters, adding to questions about its transparency regarding the president\u2019s health.<\/p>\n<p>Democrats, however, who once <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/politics\/david-axelrod-biden-age-political-viability\">Unease expressed<\/a> about Biden\u2019s age have quieted as the president lays the groundwork for a likely reelection campaign in 2024.
