If you haven&#8217;t read it yet, you might want to return and review it. However, the real problem for journalists is the lack of information from the White House. Much of what has been published is only vague suggestions. Officials seem to be becoming increasingly concerned by speculation-based analysts, who are filling the information gap. All of this speculation has been labeled by the administration as the latest example. \u201cmisinformation\u201d This must be stopped. The legacy media will continue to march out to broadcast the information, so that the peasants are forced to close their un-American pie-holes. (Associated Press emphasis added<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The\u00a0<a id=\"reader.external-link.num-0\" href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/china-us-high-altitude-balloons-in-airspace-8d8b9e7474027e1305264b2c7b8b04fb?utm_source=homepage&#038;utm_medium=TopNews&#038;utm_campaign=position_01\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">U.S. warplanes brought down four aerial devices<\/a>\u00a0The misinformation surrounding the objects and their origin and purpose has been a major issue. This shows how complicated world events can quickly create the perfect environment for misleading information. <strong>Unchecked misinformation and conjecture<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The presence of mysterious objects high in the sky doesn\u2019t help.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere will be an investigation and we will learn more, but until then this story has created a playground for people interested in <strong>speculating or stirring the pot for their own reasons<\/strong>,\u201d Jim Ludes is a former national defense analyst and now heads the Pell Center of International Relations at Salve Regina University.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>It is there. It is time for people to stop. \u201cspeculating\u201d And \u201cstirring the pot\u201d You can find out more about the objects being shot. You\u2019ll just have to wait until the Biden administration settles on whatever story they eventually plan to tell us about these \u201cobjects.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ll grant you that some of the suggestions being made in the usual internet rabbit holes are definitely \u201cout there\u201d It borders on conspiracy theory territory, at the very least. These include claims that Washington is putting the objects up and shooting them down to distract attention away from the toxic railroad spill in Ohio, the war in Ukraine, or the investigation into Hunter Biden\u2019s laptop.<\/p>\n<p>But it\u2019s not just the supposed \u201cfringe\u201d Many internet commentators have complained about the lack of transparency in these events. It is being reported by the White House press corps in the briefing area. If the Pentagon has figured out what these things are and where they\u2019re coming from, that information should be shared with the public. Civilians have seen these objects from the ground, and there is footage of them being shot. Talking about the matter at this point will impact how much national security is affected.<\/p>\n<p>As I\u2019ve <a href=\"https:\/\/hotair.com\/jazz-shaw\/2023\/02\/12\/how-many-ufos-will-we-globally-shoot-down-this-month-n530274\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a> here before, even if you\u2019re the sort of person who tends to believe in the possibility of non-human intelligence lurking around the planet (a theory that I\u2019m open to), I find it hard to believe that\u2019s what we\u2019re dealing with here. Reporters in the briefing room have asked John Kirby over and over whether the Pentagon thinks they might be aliens, and he didn\u2019t help matters any when he said, \u201cwe\u2019re not ruling anything out.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>So who is fueling all this speculation? \u201cpot-stirring?\u201d It seems to me that White House officials are doing a lot of this work on their own. And if they don\u2019t want people making up their own answers, they should probably start providing us with some that can be backed up by science.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t expect that to happen any time soon, though. There is some inside information about the objects and the government\u2019s response to them being released today. But it\u2019s only being given to Senators <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/u-s-senate-hold-classified-briefing-on-unidentified-objects-shot-down-military-north-america\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">In a classified briefing<\/a> Scheduled for this morning at 10 AM Eastern time. Are they sure that this will reduce speculation? The opposite is true. There will be suggestions on how to tell the truth in the next round of discussion. \u201c<em>something huge<\/em>\u201d If they must keep it classified.<\/p>\n<p>It is quite possible that we have an idea of why these objects exist. \u201csuddenly showing up\u201d in our skies.\u00a0It\u2019s been almost two weeks since NORAD Commanding General Glen VanHerck <a href=\"https:\/\/breakingdefense.com\/2023\/02\/other-chinese-balloons-slipped-through-domain-awareness-gap-in-us-defenses-general\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">According to reporters<\/a> Many Chinese surveillance balloons have been missed by us in the past due to this. \u201ca domain awareness gap.\u201d We had tuned our radar systems and other sensors in order to search for hypersonic weapons or missiles. We did this in a way that the system could filter out slower-moving, smaller objects. Many likely balloons are being discovered that are of different species. Some could be Chinese. Some might be the Pentagon\u2019s. Some may be civilian contractors working for the military-industrial compound, such as Lockheed. Most likely all of the above.
