This was in response to national security concerns raised by three U.S.-based officials who shot down objects over Canada, Alaska, and Michigan.<\/p>\n<p>However, lawmakers reportedly left the briefing with more questions and answers than they received, asserting that the public should hear a lot of the information officials shared in the classified briefing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c99% of what was discussed in that room today can be made public without compromising security in this country,\u201d Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/senators-leave-classified-briefing-more-questions-answers-ufos-urge-public-transparency?intcmp=tw_pols\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fox News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Rubio, who sits on the Senate Intelligence Committee stated that the public should have such information as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have to know what we\u2019re talking about,\u201d Rubio said. \u201cBut I do think that when you shoot things down over the airspace of this country for the first time in the 65-year history of NORAD \u2014 you owe the American people more than some hurriedly called press conference in the middle of the Super Bowl.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Following the briefing Rubio and other senators spoke with reporters. They provided limited information and raised questions about the origins and nature of the objects. However, they denounced any threat to American citizens. Officials from the United States took the objects down after they entered civil airspace without being registered with Federal Aviation Administration.<\/p>\n<p>Senator John Kennedy (Republican from Louisiana) claimed that he left the briefing with more questions and answers than answers. He also stated that key takeaways were such strange objects found in U.S. Airspace. \u201cflying over us for years\u201d Moreover, the U.S. government knew about the activity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese objects have been flying over us for years, many years,\u201d Kennedy said. \u201cWe\u2019ve known about those objects for many years. We\u2019re not sure that we\u2019ve known about all of them, but we\u2019ve known about many of them. Except for the Chinese spy balloon, we don\u2019t know what they are. What\u2019s different about the last two weeks is that we\u2019ve started shooting them down. But we can\u2019t find the remnants. Except for the spy balloon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kennedy also stated that officials can&#8217;t find the debris of those recently shot down objects, noting that they landed in an area with \u201cdifficult terrain, low temperature, lots of inclement weather.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019re looking, but they haven\u2019t been able to find them,\u201d He stated.<\/p>\n<p>Rubio said that military personnel had reported the incident. \u201chundreds and hundreds of cases.\u201d He also doesn\u2019t think those objects pose a threat to the country unless they collide with an airplane.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t think there\u2019s any indication that the objects were here to launch weapons against us,\u201d Rubio said.<\/p>\n<p>Senator Richard Blumenthal (D\u2013CT) said that the American people are his priority. \u201cdeserve and need to know more\u201d After understanding the situation better.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am not in any way afraid that we are under a threat of attack or physical harm to our homeland. That\u2019s my personal feeling. But the American people need to be reassured with more facts,\u201d Blumenthal stated that according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2023\/02\/14\/1156821957\/ufos-shot-down-biden\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NPR<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>After the classified briefing, Sen. Thom Tillis (R.-NC) stated that \u201ca lot of people don\u2019t understand the altitude challenges for going after a certain target.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s a lot of complexity in it, but I think they\u2019ve done a good job of getting our situational awareness to where it is today,\u201d Tillis stated.<\/p>\n<p>Tillis stated to reporters that while the Biden administration has not yet designated the category in which the objects should be placed, he stressed that they are. \u201cnot from outer space.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Senator Tom Cotton (Republican from Arkansas) stated that while he values the briefings by military officials and intelligence officers to Congress members, President Biden is his favorite. \u201cowes\u201d The American people need an explanation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPresident Biden should speak on camera directly to the American people today,\u201d He stated.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Top Biden administration officials briefed senators on both sides of the aisle Tuesday about the three unidentified flying objects shot down over North America in the last ten days.
