He received his marching orders from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/biden-admin-unleashes-total-transformation-of-government-with-equity-action-plans\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">President Joe Biden<\/a>On day one of his tenure, President Obama signed an executive directive mandating that the federal government in its entirety be used for racial equity.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s why if it seems like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/ilhan-omar-pushes-buttigieg-for-direct-action-after-ohio-train-derailment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Buttigieg<\/a> is a bit slow to address safety issues that actually matter to the average American \u2014 such as the hazardous train derailment in<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/we-basically-nuked-a-town-with-chemicals-critics-blast-detonation-from-train-derailment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> East Palestine, Ohio<\/a> \u2014 it\u2019s because he is. Actually, the \u201cSafety First\u201d portion of the Department of Transportation\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20230214190430\/https:\/\/www.transportation.gov\/briefing-room\/safetyfirst\/us-department-transportation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Website<\/a> hasn\u2019t been updated since May 2020 \u2014 which speaks volumes about how much the president\u2019s administration actually care about preventing harm.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, they are focused on making sure the federal government makes use of its power and might to redistribute taxpayer dollars. \u201cunderserved communities\u201d Agency hiring practices should not be based on merit but rather on skin color or other immutable characteristics.<\/p>\n<p>Buttigieg made it his mission Monday to address the racial makeup construction workers before addressing the situation of East Palestine.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Buttigieg attended the National Association of Counties Conference. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/buttigieg-white-construction-workers-taking-jobs-communities-color\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bemoaned<\/a>, \u201cWe have heard way too many stories from generations past of infrastructure where you got a neighborhood, often a neighborhood of color, that finally sees the project come to them, but everyone in the hard hats on that project, doing the good paying jobs, don\u2019t look like they came from anywhere near the neighborhood.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>What does it really matter if the person using a Jackhammer is white, brown, yellow, or yellow? It doesn\u2019t. It doesn&#8217;t matter.<\/p>\n<p>The Democrats see it as a very important issue. In fact, equity is one of the Department of Transportation\u2019s four main priorities according to the website: Climate and Sustainability, Equity, Safety, and Transformation.<\/p>\n<p>As mentioned, the Department\u2019s \u201cSafety First\u201d The website still highlights the goals of Secretary Elaine Chao who ran the show during the presidency of former President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n<p>That sort of speaks for itself as to where Buttgieg\u2019s priorities are.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, you can access the equity tab <a href=\"https:\/\/www.transportation.gov\/priorities\/equity\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Proudly proclaims<\/a>, \u201cFor the first time, DOT has centered Equity as a Department-wide strategic goal. This is a critical step to institutionalizing equity across the Department\u2019s policies and programs, with the aim of reducing inequities across our transportation systems and the communities they affect.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Their central focus is equity and they are proud of it. What does this mean for Americans?<\/p>\n<p>The Daily Wire was informed by Professor Victor Davis Hanson. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/biden-admin-unleashes-total-transformation-of-government-with-equity-action-plans\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Last spring<\/a>That means that \u201cin reductionist fashion, any inequality is due to racism or bias and the government must have the wisdom and morality to punish perceived victimizers and redistribute to supposed victims.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll else does not count \u2014 not merit, not tragedies, not health, not class, not work ethic, not family structures, not culture, not anything \u2014 except the elite in charge will always be exempt from the ramifications of their own equity ideology,\u201d He elaborated.<\/p>\n<p>So maybe that\u2019s why Buttigieg waited 10 days before commenting on the train crash in East Palestine. It just didn\u2019t affect him. As Hanson explained, he\u2019s immune from the ramifications of his own policies. What moved Buttigieg to comment on it wasn\u2019t a concern for the matter at hand, but that conservative media and even some Democrats were hounding him for a response.<\/p>\n<p>He will likely quickly refocus on justifying racial discrimination using the lens of equity.
