The film is 56 minutes long and includes commentary from a well-known expert on transsexualism and a gender-affirming doctor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis documentary details the abuse that minors and adults suffered at the hands of a medical establishment that seemingly couldn\u2019t care less about the outcomes of these people so long as their pockets are adequately lined,\u201d Chrissy Clark, a journalist at The Daily Caller, was the one who conducted the interviews and produced this film.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2018Damaged\u2019 gives an insight into stories that are suppressed and underreported by mainstream news outlets,\u201d Clark also added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDamaged\u201d Follow the stories of Chloe Cole who was chemically and surgically transgender as a teenager. Abel Garcia, Cat Cattinson and Xandra also sought medical transition services as early adults. Walt Heyer was a transgender man who lived most of the 1980s as a woman.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/detransitioners-medically-harmed-by-gender-affirming-care-speak-in-favor-of-tennessee-ban\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Abel Garcia<\/a>25-year-old Garcia was first introduced to gender ideology via YouTube. This made him question his gender identity. Garcia felt that he didn\u2019t measure up to other boys growing up, and he noted the added pressure of the \u201cmachismo\u201d His Mexican heritage and culture influenced his belief that he could be transgender.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Garcia, then 19, was first seen by a gender therapist at his first appointment. \u201caffirmed\u201d Transgender woman, and was given a letter of support in order to obtain medical interventions. He took estrogen for several years and presented as a woman. This eventually led to him having breast augmentation surgery.<\/p>\n<p>Garcia stated that he only realized his mistake three months after his breast implant surgery. He also recounted how his therapist tried to convince him to stop telling his therapist that he intended to detransition. As a result, he now suffers from genital and urinary tract issues.<\/p>\n<p>Xandra, now 31 years old, decided to change when she was 18, after being introduced to gender ideology via YouTube influencers. She was a lesbian who believed she would be happier as a man and was given testosterone without ever visiting a therapist.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wish the doctor had stopped me, I wish they had required therapy \u2013 because I need a lot of it,\u201d Xandra, who was sexually assaulted as a child by a relative aged 4, admitted to it. Sara and Xandra are now married. They plan to homeschool their children because they fear that activist teachers might try to indoctrinate them.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Walt Heyer was a transgender man who lived eight years as a woman in the 1980s. He has written several books and articles on his experiences and is now able to coach people through the detransition process. Heyer believes that people who have not dealt with issues like sexual abuse and childhood trauma may be more inclined to choose to change their gender. He was sexually molested by an unrelated blood relative as a child and realized that he wasn\u2019t trying to be a woman but rather to escape his male identity.<\/p>\n<p>Heyer stated that current \u201caffirmative\u201d Model of care \u201cmedical malpractice\u201d And \u201cchild abuse.\u201d He believes that anyone suffering from gender distress should seek therapy. \u201caffirm\u201d They will not reject their body if they can&#8217;t accept their trans-identity. Transgender identity adoption is less about gender than it is about a person&#8217;s ability to accept their identities. \u201cbroken identity,\u201d He explained.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Heyer said that between 70 and 80% of his clients have autogynephilia. This is a paraphilic disorder where a male feels sexually stimulated by the thought of being a woman. \u201cSo it\u2019s a sexual arousal disorder, it\u2019s not transgenderism,\u201d Heyer.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Chloe Cole was eleven when she was born. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/detransitioner-chloe-cole-gives-powerful-testimony-against-gender-affirming-care-at-white-house\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Introduction<\/a> She was exposed to gender ideology via social media. This led her to identify herself as a transgender boy at the age of 12. At 13 she was given testosterone and puberty blocks. She had a double mastectomy at 15 to remove her breasts. \u201cgender affirming\u201d Medical professionals.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Cole stated that it was a psychology and child-development course she took at 16 that made her regret her decision.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI had a lesson on maternal bonding and that was the first time I really thought about being a parent and what that might look like for me,\u201d Cole. \u201cThere was a big emphasis on breastfeeding, not only as the means of feeding your child but it\u2019s also the way mothers bond with their children. After finding this out, I felt like a monster. I felt like I took something away from my future children, and I knew I would never be able to get that back.
