Three quarters of all firms were found to have a \u201cmedium risk\u201d Of going woke, and 58% of businesses were rated as \u201clower risk.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Paul Fitzpatrick of 1792 Exchange pointed out that customers can be a bit more than just a broker. \u201cincredible power.\u201d The following is an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/corporate-woke-a-meter-report-reveals-companies-highest-risk-woke-capitalism\">Interview<\/a> Fox advised people to hold woke companies accountable for their actions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe recommend that folks \u2026 find the companies that they patronize, print off the report, walk into the office, the local branch, and if it\u2019s a high-risk company, asked [sic] politely to calmly speak with the manager and say, \u2018Why are you doing this? Are you going to cancel me?\u2019 And if you\u2019re a business or a nonprofit, ask to have the terms of your agreement changed,\u201d He stated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf it\u2019s a low-risk company, go into that office, thank them, encourage your friends to shop there, and we believe that market forces will work \u2026 If we change behavior, our behavior, the companies will change their behavior.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Scoring Criteria, Protection of Freedom of Speech<\/h2>\n<p>The 1792 Exchange report ranks companies based upon six criteria. These include whether the firm has denied customers or vendors services in the past due to their religious or political beliefs, whether their employment policies do not protect against discrimination based only on religious or political ideologies, and whether they support hateful causes with their corporate reputation.<\/p>\n<p>The group points out that there are ideological cancellations at an \u201calarming rate.\u201d As an example, it cites the chief executive of software firm Tripwire, who wrote in a tweet that he supported Texas\u2019s abortion restrictions as he was a \u201cpro-life gamer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The company was then threatened by suppliers and partners, who warned them that they would terminate their contracts if the CEO continued to work for them. Tripwire soon fired its CEO.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile powerful public and private companies continue their cancellation campaigns against those who dissent from secular progressive ideology, we remain committed to protecting the freedoms we cherish and need,\u201d The organization <a href=\"https:\/\/1792exchange.com\/about-the-report\/\"><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe must fix and protect our economic system, which has lifted millions out of poverty and created unprecedented prosperity, and restore viewpoint neutrality.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Woke, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/t-esg\">ESG<\/a> Discrimination<\/h2>\n<p>Fitzpatrick identifies environmental, social and governance policies (ESG) as one tool that can be used to transform a company to a woke corporate culture.<\/p>\n<p>Numerous Republican states are passing laws to protect businesses from the infiltration by woke ESG ideas. The Texas Legislature passed in 2021 a law prohibiting public contracts with public companies that discriminate against firearms.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, Citigroup was removed as a potential underwriter of $3.4 billion worth of municipal bonds in the state because of the bank\u2019s opposition to firearms businesses.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. citizens also don\u2019t want businesses to mix politics with their operations. A poll conducted by the Trafalgar Group, and the Convention of States Action (COSA), revealed that nearly 80 percent of likely voter respondents said they are more likely to purchase from a company with a neutral political affiliation if given the choice. This number includes more that 75 percent of both Republican and Democratic voters.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a blowback that\u2019s coming,\u201d Mark Meckler (COSA president) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/americans-tell-ceos-drop-the-woke-and-get-back-to-business_5047644.html\">Telled<\/a> The Epoch Times. \u201cIt\u2019s coming big time against all this woke politics in business.
