He said he enjoyed first half but that the second half was tiring.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI thought last year\u2019s race was good. This year\u2019s race, it was ridiculous, right? I\u2019m like, \u2018Come on, can you go five, six laps.\u2019 Now, at the very end they finally did a good job. Martin Truex definitely should have won the race. Also, he describes race as \u201cA Disaster\u201d<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>He continued to express his opinion that Kyle Busch was the best finisher of the race. \u201cThe show, best in class, no doubt, \u201cRowdy\u201d Busch and Kyle Busch started at the back. They made it all the way to first. He did a good job.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank God for Kyle. But here\u2019s the situation. The situation is this. What kind of contract does NASCAR have with the L.A. Coliseum. That is a business of its own. How many years did they sign a contract?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He continued, \u201cWe know you and we know a lot of people really don\u2019t want to keep it going. It&#8217;s kind of funny to see it fall. What kind of contract did Ben Kennedy sign? Was it a two-year? Was is it a three-year? We don\u2019t know.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He rhetorically then asked, \u201cSo will the race come back next year? I would usually know things like this: was it a two or three year contract. I don\u2019t think it should come back. It\u2019s been tried and tested. I think that deal could be over. Who knows if we\u2019ll do it again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wallace then revealed one of the main reasons aside from the poor product as to why they won\u2019t do it again, \u201cI think the downfall of the Coliseum race will be the millions of dollars it takes just to build the racetrack. I think Ben \u2014 I heard Ben mention it throughout the year: cost a lot of money.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wallace concluded, \u201cYou can\u2019t fault NASCAR. They tried it. They tested it. Kyle Busch, who finished the race in third and did indeed drive from the rear of the field to the front of the field after he was dumped by last year\u2019s champion Joey Logano, described the race as a \u201cdisaster.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Busch, in an interview after the race, stated that \u201cLast year\u2019s show, I felt like was relatively clean and good racing. Some bumping, some banging, but we could run long stretches of green flag action where today was \u2014 I would call it a disaster.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He explained, \u201cThe disrespect from everybody of just driving through each other and not letting everything kind of work its way out. I mean it\u2019s a quarter mile. It\u2019s tight quarters racing. Actually, this is probably how it should have gone last year. So we got spoiled with a good show the first year.
