The well-connected couple were approached by businessmen assuming that they had strong international connections. They would then charge them for introductions.<\/p>\n<p>Schwerin was secretive about China. He would often ask a Chinese woman he trusted to help him. According to emails from Hunter Biden, who left the laptop at a Delaware repair facility, it is believed that Schwerin did not know this. Zeng was sometimes paid a cut from the business deals in which the firm was involved.<\/p>\n<p>Zeng is married to Hongtu Liu, a scientist for China\u2019s Center for Disease Control, according to records reviewed by The Daily Wire.<\/p>\n<p>January 2022 Study on a possible method to combat the <a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/35101046\/\">Herpes<\/a> Liu was the co-author of the simplex virus. \u201cChinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention-Wuhan Institute of Virology, Chinese Academy of Sciences Joint Research Center for Emerging Infectious Diseases and Biosafety, Wuhan\u201d As well as the \u201cCenter for Biosafety Mega-Science, Chinese Academy of Science, Wuhan.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A May 2022 study of the human body <a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/35655951\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">papillomavirus<\/a> Liu also co-authored (HPV), with the same affiliations.<\/p>\n<p>According to public records, the couple purchased a house in Pennsylvania in 2006. Liu was a researcher at the Abramson College Center at the University of Pennsylvania. A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cell.com\/action\/showPdf?pii=S1097-2765%2810%2900074-2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2010 Study<\/a> Liu co-authored a paper on RNA. He lists his affiliation with the Abramson Family Cancer Research Institute. However, he notes that his \u201cpresent address\u201d is with China\u2019s CDC.<\/p>\n<p>The University of Pennsylvania supports the University of Pennsylvania <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/penn-biden-center-held-event-encouraging-closer-u-s-china-ties\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Penn Biden Center<\/a>It created, an office and think-tank connected to Joe Biden, in 2018. The Center encourages closer U.S.\u2013China ties and the university has received many millions of dollars of Chinese donations just a few months after the project was announced. The Penn Biden Center in D.C. found classified documents just before the 2022 election.<\/p>\n<p>A Senate committee found that the COVID virus was not a threat to human health <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/senate-investigation-concludes-covid-likely-originated-from-a-chinese-lab\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Most likely to leak<\/a> From the Wuhan Institute of Virology.<\/p>\n<p>But Liu\u2019s research on sexually transmitted diseases may have been of more interest to Hunter Biden, whose laptop revealed numerous trysts with prostitutes. In one text message on the laptop, Biden\u2019s sister-in-law-turned-girlfriend Hallie Biden and her sister discuss sharing a prescription for Valtrex, a herpes medication.<\/p>\n<p>For years, Zeng served as one of Hunter Biden\u2019s international deal-brokering business\u2019s major entrees to China, particularly when it came to biotech, and dined with Biden at places like Bourbon Steak.<\/p>\n<p>In March 2010, Zeng set up a meeting between Schwerin and Dr. Tianyi Wang, the founder of China\u2019s State Guest Entrepreneurs Club, which \u201cserves as the conduit for the formation of a domestic asset fund management investment and advisory service.\u201d Wang is also president and CEO of China International Industry and Commerce Co.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne thing you both have to do when you are in China is see Xiaoying,\u201d Schwerin wrote the following year to Hunter Biden, Devon Archer and another business partner who was last year sentenced to imprisonment for fraud.<\/p>\n<p>A U.S. biotech executive writes an email to an associate in 2014. \u201cSee if Hunter\u2019s group can get me a meeting with the CHINESE CEO at MICROPORT during the upcoming NASS meeting in San Francisco Nov12th-14th. It has to be with the top dog.\u201d Schwerin wrote Hunter \u201cI may be able to see if Xiaoying can get to them and arrange but this is something we should charge for wouldn\u2019t you think?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In May 2014, Hunter and Schwerin\u2019s firm, Rosemont Seneca, helped raise <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fiercebiotech.com\/medical-devices\/counsyl-armed-28m-begins-big-rollout-brca-and-other-predictive-genetic-tests\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">$28 Million<\/a> Counsyl, a medical testing startup. Schwerin offered Liu a job at Counsyl, a month before, when Counsyl was still looking for Chinese investors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf Counsyl is looking for someone there they may also want to consider Xiaoying\u2019s husband. According to Xiaoying he is starting a business that does online testing for HPV. Could be a great entree for Counsyl in China considering how connected he is working for the Chinese CDC.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>John DeLoche (another Rosemont business partner) wrote to Counsyl the next month about their partnership \u201cChina strategy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have deep relationships in China and could introduce you to a number of potential partners including China Investment Corporation (CIC), a $400bn sovereign wealth fund as well as several other potential investors\/partners.
