Referring to the Capitol Riot of January 6, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m certainly concerned about political polarization, and I know the U.S. situation best of all. I wouldn\u2019t have expected people to attack the Capitol, or people to deny the validity of election results. I\u2019m in a state of shock about that,\u201d Gates said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe can\u2019t blame A.I. for that. That happened. It may have been magnified by digital channels that allow various conspiracy theories like QAnon or whatever to be blasted out by people who wanted to believe those things,\u201d Gates was also added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, the digital tools may have played an auxiliary role,\u201d Gates continued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019ll have to take A.I. into consideration\u201d To \u201csolve the digital misinformation [problem].\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Microsoft founder described \u201cpolitical polarization\u201d A.I. could be used to combat another social ill. To reduce \u201cconfirmation bias.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But, A.I. critics claim that it is not the best solution to digital misinformation. However, critics say that A.I. is not the perfect solution to digital misinformation. The technology can only be as good as its data. AI-powered fact-checking tools could make mistakes and flag false information as false. The political views of those who write the AI program are also a concern.  <\/p>\n<p>As <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wired.co.uk\/article\/fact-checkers-ai-chatgpt-misinformation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Wired.com<\/a> notes:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>NewsGuard, a fact checking technology company, placed 100 prompts into ChatGPT in January 2023. These prompts related to false narratives regarding U.S. politics or health care. The chatbot made misleading and false claims in 80 percent of its replies.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Last week, Google\u2019s artificial intelligence bot, Bard, wiped \u00a3100 billion from the tech giant\u2019s parent company, Alphabet, after it showed inaccurate information in a promotional video shared on Twitter.<\/p>\n<p>As the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyfetched.com\/googles-new-ai-chatbot-wipes-100-billion-off-firms-value-after-answering-question-wrong\/\">Daily Fetched<\/a> Reports say that Alphabet posted a Bard video via Twitter and promoted it as &#8220;a great movie.&#8221; \u2018launch pad for curiosity\u2019 To simplify complicated topics<\/p>\n<p>Google\u2019s new AI Chatbot bot was asked what to tell a nine-year-old about the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) and its discoveries.<\/p>\n<p>However, Bard responded by saying Webb was the first to take pictures of a planet outside of earth\u2019s solar system.
