Other experts concurred.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe same experts also say the evidence does not indicate he lost control of his vehicle because of excessive speed on a curved downhill road that is known for speeding cars. They arrived at this theory based on several factors, especially the way Woods\u2019 vehicle appeared to keep going straight ahead instead of staying on the road as it curved right,\u201d USA Today wrote.<\/p>\n<p>The 15-time major champion suffered devastating injuries in the one-car accident and has undergone one surgery to fix the compound fractures in his leg suffered during the rollover. More surgeries are expected.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Cherney, a former police detective, has examined the Woods\u2019 crash site in person since the accident, the paper wrote.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">\u201cIt\u2019s a drift off the road, almost like he was either unconscious, suffering from a medical episode or fell asleep and didn\u2019t wake up until he was off the road and that\u2019s where the brake application came in,\u201d Cherney said.<\/p>\n<p>There were no skid marks on the road, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva. But the 2021 Genesis GV80 Woods was driving had anti-lock brakes, and Felix Lee, an accident reconstruction expert, said with those types of brakes, \u201cyou wouldn\u2019t necessarily see tire marks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy feeling is that speed wasn\u2019t that much of an issue,\u201d Lee told the paper. \u201cIt was just some kind of inattention that caused the curb strike.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Another expert, Rami Hashish, principal at the National Biomechanics Institute that analyzes the cause of accidents, said an analysis of the crash \u201cwas suggesting he wasn\u2019t paying attention at all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Woods obviously didn\u2019t play in this week\u2019s PGA event, but his fellow tour players donned his signature red-and-black outfit in his honor.<\/p>\n<p>More than half a dozen professional golfers wore the outfit during the last round of the WCG-Workday Championship in Florida, prompting Woods to make his first comments since his terrible car crash last week.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is hard to explain how touching today was when I turned on the tv and saw all the red shirts,\u201d the 45-year-old Woods wrote Sunday on Twitter from his hospital bed.\u00a0 \u201cTo every golfer and every fan, you are truly helping me get through this tough time.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">It is hard to explain how touching today was when I turned on the tv and saw all the red shirts. Other golfers, including Bryson DeChambeau and Matt Kuchar, along with Day, played Bridgestone golf balls with Woods\u2019 name on them.<\/p>\n<p>DeChambeau tweeted a picture of a golf ball with the name \u201cTiger\u201d and a red line on it. \u201cWe\u2019re pulling for you @tigerwoods. A mentor, idol and role model to my career, there\u2019s no one that could come out of this stronger. We are glad you\u2019re here.
