Jeremic was an energy executive and a former minister of foreign affairs in Serbia. He was seeking American support in the upcoming secretary general election. Jeremic was a director of the Mexican state-owned energy company Pemex, and Biden was a board member at Burisma, a scandal-plagued Ukrainian-owned energy company. Emails indicate that they were in discussions to form a partnership.<\/p>\n<p>Jeremic approached Biden along with Eric Schwerin on Dec. 1, 2015 to arrange a meeting with Ye Jianming. Ye Jianming was the former-chairman at CEFC China Energy. This Chinese energy conglomerate has been suspected of having links to Chinese intelligence.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am confident that many interesting projects may come out of that in the future,&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/bidenlaptopemails.com\/biden-emails\/email.php?id=20151201-140803_31991\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Write<\/a> Jeremic was at that time a consultant for CEFC.
