John Fetterman<\/a> His severe hearing loss has caused him to be unable to hear the teacher speaking from his ears. &#8220;Peanuts&#8221; The New York Times reported that cartoons are created by listening to people talk.<\/p>\n<p class=\"speakable\">Fetterman <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/health\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A stroke occurred<\/a> While campaigning for Pennsylvania&#8217;s open Senate Seat, in May 2022, he developed cognitive problems, including an auditory processing problem.<\/p>\n<p>After Wednesday&#8217;s lightheadedness, the senator is currently in hospital. He has struggled to adapt to his new life in the Senate due to the difficulties of recovering from the stroke and the need to use technology to facilitate conversations with colleagues and staff.<\/p>\n<p>Fetterman needs to have a closed captioning device to help him understand what is being spoken to him.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/john-fetterman-remains-hospitalized-washington-dc-second-stroke-ruled-out\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>SEN. The Senate chamber now has wired screens where professional broadcast captioners type closed-captions for him.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/politics\/senate\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Democratic colleagues<\/a> Fetterman described the closed captioning system working to facilitate seamless conversations.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It\u2019s just a slight delay,&#8221; said Marie Gluesenkamp P\u00e9rez, D-Wash, the Times reported. &#8220;I didn\u2019t notice he was using it at first. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota, a Democratic Senator, spoke to the New York Times about Fetterman\u2019s condition after he used the tablet for communication. &#8220;What I was saying was accurate even when I talked fast. I wanted to make sure it was accurate. It was kind of to imagine what it would be like to be him.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;He answers like you would answer anyone,&#8221; Klobuchar said. &#8220;It\u2019s us that have to get used to it; he\u2019s used to it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Sen. Bob Casey of D-Penn. who serves as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/us\/us-regions\/northeast\/pennsylvania\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pennsylvania&#8217;s second senator<\/a> Fetterman agreed with Fetterman. He had felt lightheaded after a Democratic retreat.
