Protect the Public\u2019s Trust (PPT), an ethics watchdog, has filed a \u2018transparency lawsuit\u2019 Against the National Archives and Records Administration. PPT requested documents from Debra Steidel Wallace, acting archivist to the White House, regarding communications. However, it has not received any response.<\/p>\n<p>The National Archives has been accused of stealing documents.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-11725819\/Republicans-tear-Bidens-lies-repeats-misleading-claims.html?ito=rss-connatix&#038;traffic_source=Connatix\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> double standards<\/a> It demanded records from the six previous administrations, but failed to provide its own.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u2018 These documents could shed light on conversations between NARA and the White House during a highly politically fraught period leading up to the unprecedented raid of former President Donald Trump\u2019s Mar-a-Lago residence to obtain presidential records and the discovery of classified material at several locations associated with President Joe Biden\u2019, PPT said in reference to their lawsuit.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Apparently, it\u2019s too much to ask that the agency requesting everyone else turn over their records live by its own rules when its documents are sought,\u2019 Michael Chamberlain, Director of Protect the Public\u2019s Trust said. \u2018<\/p>\n<p>\u2018At a time when the public could use some clarity and transparency on highly charged episodes, this appears to par for the course for an administration proclaiming itself the most transparent in history.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Yet one more reason why the American public\u2019s trust in its government continues to plummet.\u2019<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The American people still don\u2019t know what the materials found at Mar-a-Lago contained, even generally speaking, and the same goes for documents and other written material from Joe Biden\u2019s home and office at the Penn-Biden Center. The FBI has documents from Mike Pence&#8217;s home to review. The FBI is making arrangements to scour his home in Carmel (Indianapolis) Indiana for any material that may have been missed by Pence\u2019s lawyer. Are we talking about nuclear codes in the Trump residence raid? This possibility was briefly mentioned by some media reports. <em>C\u2019mon, man<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s been an unusual time. After months of negotiation between Trump&#8217;s lawyers and the National Archives regarding the return of classified documents, Mar-a-Lago was suddenly raided by FBI agents, lights flashing, and armed agents swarming the house. The media were tipped and were present to record the raid. Trump wasn\u2019t even there. The media still got their story. A picture of classified document folders was published online showing them spread across a floor. Then we learned that Biden\u2019s lawyers found some classified documents at the Penn Biden Center <em>Just before the November midterm elections<\/em> However, the news was kept secret for two months to ensure that it did not influence the election for Democrats. The FBI was able to arrange a time for the FBI to search the Biden property. Pence will receive the same treatment. There will be no pre-dawn raids by media personnel.<\/p>\n<p>The House Oversight Committee chairman said the National Archives was blocked from making a statement when the first documents were found at Biden\u2019s office at the Penn Biden Center in November. Rep. James Comer claimed that the only people who could have prevented the release were the White House or DOJ. Comer says it proves that the White House or the DOJ interfere with this. The National Archives is supposed be an independent federal entity. As you know, it is similar to the FBI.<em> I am aware.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll see if the National Archives fulfills the request for documents by PPT.
