Sarah Huckabee Sanders replied to this week&#8217;s attacks from the Democratic Governor of California. Gavin Newsom referred to crime in Arkansas and pointed out the number of Californians fleeing California.<\/p>\n<p>Newsom tweeted on Tuesday night following Sanders\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/the-choice-is-between-normal-and-crazy-sarah-sanders-draws-sharp-contrast-with-dems-in-sotu-response\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rebuttal<\/a> to President Joe Biden\u2019s State of the Union address about crime in the southern state.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile @SarahHuckabee touts public safety, here is what she skips over: Arkansas has the one of the highest murder rates in the nation,\u201d Newsom said.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">While ahref=&#8221;https:\/\/twitter.com\/SarahHuckabee?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw&#8221;>@SarahHuckabee<\/a> Public safety is her top priority. Here&#8217;s what she misses:<\/p>\n<p>Arkansas has one of the highest rates of murder in the country.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Gavin Newsom (@GavinNewsom) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GavinNewsom\/status\/1623169074594283521?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 8, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<p>During a Thursday night interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity on Thursday, Sanders addressed the criticism. Hannity pointed out that Newsom seemed to have ignored the fact Sanders was in office \u201ca whopping 31 days.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy comparison, when you look at Gavin Newsom\u2019s time in public office, his time as San Francisco mayor, lieutenant governor, now governor, Newsom has spent nearly 7,000 days driving California straight into the ground,\u201d Hannity stated. \u201cCrime and homelessness are now through the roof. The drug problem in California is out of control. Reports of school children being forced to walk through open-air drug dens. California ranked dead last again in the U-haul index.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sanders said the fact that Newsom was attacking her proved that she was doing something right with the initial actions she has taken as the state\u2019s new governor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet\u2019s not forget, he literally had to run ads begging people to stay in California not that long ago. And every single town I go to in Arkansas, I meet someone who has moved from California,\u201d She spoke. \u201cMy message to them is we\u2019re glad you\u2019re here but don\u2019t forget why you left California. We are proud of our state and our gates are open for people to come.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>WATCH:<\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p>On Tuesday, during her 15-minute speech following Biden\u2019s State of the Union, Sanders contrasted Republicans\u2019 agenda with the president\u2019s. She looked into &#8220;a&#8221; (what she called a \u201cLeft-wing culture war\u201d Biden and Democrats were denounced \u201chighjacked by the radical Left.\u201d Arkansas Governor referred to the differences between the parties as the difference between normalcy or radicalism.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the radical Left\u2019s America, Washington taxes you and lights your hard-earned money on fire. But you get crushed with high gas prices, empty grocery shelves, and our children are taught to hate one another on account of their race, but not to love one another or our great country,\u201d She continued. \u201cThe dividing line in America is no longer between Right or Left. The choice is between normal and crazy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sanders continued to boast about her record as governor, even though she was elected less than a month ago.
