John Fetterman (D, PA) was still in hospital Thursday night after a medical episode. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/john-fetterman-hospitalized-at-democrat-senate-retreat\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Experienced<\/a> This week, at a Democrat Senate Retreat<\/p>\n<p>Fetterman\u2019s communications director, Joe Calvello, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2023\/02\/09\/politics\/john-fetterman-hospital-dc\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a> Thursday&#8217;s statement was made by the freshman senator following results from an MRI at George Washington University Hospital. The results were allegedly ruled out \u201ca new stroke.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe is being monitored with an EEG for signs of seizure \u2013 so far there are no signs of seizure, but he is still being monitored,\u201d The statement was continued. \u201cWe will continue to provide information as it comes in, and we will have more updates as we get them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-reader-unique-id=\"2\">Fetterman\u2019s team revealed earlier this week that he had been admitted to the hospital after \u201cfeeling lightheaded.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-reader-unique-id=\"7\">\u201cInitial tests did not show evidence of a new stroke, but doctors are running more tests and John is remaining overnight for observation,\u201d The statement was continued. \u201cHe is in good spirits and talking with his staff and family. We will provide more information when we have it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-reader-unique-id=\"7\">This development follows a stroke that Fetterman suffered while campaigning last year. The stroke happened just before the primary, where he and Republican Senate candidate Dr. Mehmet Oz won their parties\u2019 nominations.<\/p>\n<p data-reader-unique-id=\"8\">The Washington Post Editorial Board <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/the-washington-post-editorial-board-blasts-john-fetterman-demands-full-release-of-his-medical-records\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-reader-unique-id=\"9\">Slammed<\/a> Fetterman in an op-ed back in September over his campaign\u2019s lack of transparency surrounding his health issues following the stroke.<\/p>\n<p data-reader-unique-id=\"12\">\u201cSince returning to the campaign trail, Mr. Fetterman has been halting in his performances,\u201d The Editorial Board made the following. \u201cHe stammers, appears confused and keeps his remarks short. He\u2019s held no news conferences. Mr. Fetterman acknowledges his difficulties with auditory processing, which make it hard for him to respond quickly to what he\u2019s hearing. He receives speech therapy \u2014 and we wish him a speedy, full recovery \u2014 but the lingering, unanswered questions about his health, underscored by his hesitation to debate, are unsettling.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-reader-unique-id=\"13\">The newspaper also said that Fetterman\u2019s team was not credible when discussing the senator\u2019s health because they were not forthcoming with how serious the situation was after he suffered the stroke.<\/p>\n<p data-reader-unique-id=\"14\">\u201cThe Fetterman campaign squandered credibility by concealing from the public for two days after his stroke that he had been hospitalized,\u201d The op-ed was continued. \u201cIt waited weeks longer to reveal a more complete picture of his medical history, including that he had been diagnosed in 2017 with cardiomyopathy. Mr. Fetterman had a pacemaker with a defibrillator implanted after the stroke. The campaign\u2019s response to questions about Mr. Fetterman\u2019s health is to point to a doctor\u2019s note, released more than 14 weeks ago, which said \u2018he should be able to campaign and serve in the U.S. Senate without a problem\u2019 if he takes his medications and exercises.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-reader-unique-id=\"17\">The Editorial Board said that Fetterman pointing to a 4-month-old doctor\u2019s note was \u201cnot good enough\u201d He also said that \u201cshould release his medical records for independent review.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sen.
