There is no doubt that most of the money went to those who frequently accused Republicans and Conservatives of racism or discrimination.<\/p>\n<p>But now, the Washington Free Beacon has uncovered the uncomfortable facts surrounding two lawsuits filed by female black employees who allege that New Venture Fund doesn\u2019t put its billion dollars where its mouth is. Both women allege racism and discrimination at New Venture Fund.<\/p>\n<p>Former employees are charged in their suits by the dark money group \u201cpaid black women less than white counterparts, and that black employees risked being fired for pushing back against discrimination,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/democrats\/former-employees-slap-the-lefts-favorite-dark-money-group-slapped-with-racial-discrimination-lawsuits\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">According to WFB.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>They claim that white colleagues shouted down black women when they raised race.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Both lawsuits accuse New Venture Fund of systematically paying black women less than their white counterparts, and claim minorities risked termination if they dared to blow the whistle on the group\u2019s internal racism.\u00a0Francesca Weaks filed a wrongful termination claim. <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Francesca-Weaks-Complaint.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lawsuit<\/a> New Venture Fund, Jan. 31, 2001. Weaks was a consultant in racial equity for New Venture Fund \u201cpop-up\u201d Local Solutions Support Center. She claims that the New Venture Fund turned its back on her and her diversity, equity and inclusion colleagues. \u201csubjected to racial harassment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt soon became obvious there was a custom of leaders speaking over Black individuals when they were speaking about race, diversity, and equity,\u201d Weaks alleges this in her lawsuit. In her lawsuit, Weaks also describes an incident that occurred in June 2021 when a white executive interrupted Weaks&#8217; discussion. \u201cinequities and Critical Race Theory.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Sarah Walker, a second black woman filed a suit. \u201csaying she was subjected to rampant racial discrimination and was fired in October 2022 after calling attention to structural racial pay inequities and alleging financial fraud,\u201d According to the website.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Recommended:<\/strong> <a class=\"search-item-link\" href=\"https:\/\/pjmedia.com\/news-and-politics\/rick-moran\/2023\/01\/12\/penn-biden-center-where-classified-documents-were-found-is-a-dark-money-nightmare-n1661020\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"search-title\">Penn Biden Center &#8211; Where Classified Documents Were Discovered Is a \u2018Dark Money Nightmare\u2019<\/span><br \/><\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe progressive public image of New Venture Fund did not translate to a progressive work environment,\u201d Walker claims in the lawsuit filed late last. \u201cMs. Walker faced discrimination during the entirety of her employment, and called out the workplace injustices experienced by her and others.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The New Venture Fund used dubious legality and highly questionable fundraising gimmicks that were at best unethical.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Weaks alleges in her lawsuit that her New Venture Fund colleagues duped prospective donors by falsely claiming the organization was partnered with the nation\u2019s most renowned black advocacy organization, the NAACP. Weaks was once a NAACP employee and said that she was shocked to learn in 2021 from a New Venture Fund consultant of white race that the charity was forming a partnership.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Everybody is made to walk on eggshells at work, and it&#8217;s a matter of watching what they say and do. \u201cuntouchables\u201d who have hair triggers cocked and ready to scream at any slight \u2014 intentional or unintentional \u2014 it makes for a highly charged, hyper-sensitive workplace.<\/p>\n<p>I am so glad I don\u2019t work in an office environment with \u201cMeToo\u201d The place is run by the anti-racism department.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The New Venture Fund dark money group spent close to a billion dollars in support of liberal causes and Democratic candidates during the last election cycle.
