FBI REPONDS TO ALLEGATIONS of CENSORSHIP<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Baker, however, falsely presented himself as the voice for reason during the hearing. &#8220;caution&#8221; The story was censored.\u00a0 As part of the disclosure, internal emails and other documents were disclosed. &#8220;Twitter Files&#8221; It is the contrary.\u00a0 While dismissing the contents of the laptop as hackable and arguing for the killing of the story, he said that the laptop was hacked.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Unlike Baker, the company\u2019s head of Trust and Safety, Yoel Roth was far more candid in his testimony.\u00a0 When asked if the laptop was Russian disinformation he answered, &#8220;Yes.&#8221; &#8220;I didn\u2019t then and I don\u2019t now.&#8221;\u00a0 When the story emerged on October 14, 2020, Roth argued that it did not violate any of Twitter\u2019s policies and should not be censored.\u00a0 However, he was overruled and resigned by the executives who were above him.\u00a0 That\u2019s where Baker played an instrumental role.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He was accompanied by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/tech\/companies\/twitter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vijaya Gadde<\/a>Twitter&#8217;s former general counsel, Jeremy, stated that Twitter was a &#8220;social media platform&#8221;.\u00a0<i>Post<\/i>\u00a0article was based on hacked materials even though Roth emphatically advised that there was no evidence of hacking and Hunter\u2019s damning emails appeared authentic.\u00a0 Gadde\u2019s pretense of a hack was invented out of thin air to discredit a legitimate story that would clearly damage Biden\u2019s campaign.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Baker was a master of deflection and deception during the hearing.\u00a0 When he wasn\u2019t refusing to answer questions by invoking a dubious version of the attorney-client privilege, he gave a fine impression of a deaf, dumb, and blind man.\u00a0Here\u2019s a sampling of his responses:\u00a0 &#8220;I don\u2019t recall, I don\u2019t understand, I\u2019m having trouble hearing you, I don\u2019t know, I have no answer to that.&#8221;\u00a0You should buy the man a hearing aid, and a white cane.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/former-twitter-execs-censored-hunter-biden-laptop-story-face-questioning-house-gop\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>FORMER TWITTER EXECS CENSORED HUNTER BIDEN STORY QUESTIONING FROM HOUSE GOPHES<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Roth had already made a sworn statement stating that the FBI was responsible for social media censorship.\u00a0 Every day, the bureau was sending out requests to end tweets. &#8220;shadowban&#8221; conservatives, and banish accounts they didn\u2019t like.\u00a0 This means that the FBI worked closely with Twitter in order to limit the freedom of expression for millions of people.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Jamie Raskin, a ranking Democrat Representative from Maryland, dismissed everything by claiming Twitter is a private business that can do what it wants without consequence.\u00a0 This is untrue, even though he is a skilled lawyer.\u00a0 The Constitution is violated whenever the government uses a private firm as a proxy to censor information.\u00a0 The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/politics\/judiciary\/supreme-court\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">U.S. Supreme Court<\/a> has ruled consistently that a government actor cannot pressure or direct private citizens or entities to do what the First Amendment prohibits the government from doing \u2014that is, to abridge free speech rights.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/what-elon-musks-twitter-files-uncovered-about-tech-giant\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The &#8220;Twitter Files&#8221;<\/a> and Roth\u2019s own declaration make it abundantly clear that the FBI colluded with the platform to suppress speech.\u00a0 Meetings were held and encrypted communications were used. &#8220;constant and pervasive.&#8221;\u00a0At least nine ex-FBI agents were involved in Twitter.\u00a0They even had their very own secret messaging system.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The FBI\u2019s sustained censorship campaign primed Twitter to eliminate the laptop story.\u00a0 The FBI knew from clandestine spying that the laptop scandal would eventually fall before the election.\u00a0 FBI had <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/person\/hunter-biden\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The laptop was taken<\/a> In December 2019, they were alarmed at its incendiary criminal wrongdoing contents.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Agents were also aware that copies of the documents were being distributed.\u00a0 Bureau agents were warned by Roth and others that there would be a copy. &#8220;hack-and-leak operation&#8221; involving Hunter Biden.\u00a0 Twitter was ordered to destroy the tweet after publication and stop its spread.\u00a0This is exactly what Twitter did.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The mainstream media accepted the refusal to report on the laptop and many others did the same.\u00a0Fivety-one ex-intelligence officials from the United States wrote a false letter claiming that it had &#8220;all the earmarks&#8221; of Russian disinformation.\u00a0 In reality, these intel officials were selling disinformation to Biden to get elected.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/newsletters\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>CLICK HERE TO GET OUR OPINION NEWSLETTER<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) noted that Twitter was being used during the six hour hearing. &#8220;got played by the FBI.&#8221;\u00a0They did. But they did so deliberately.\u00a0 Rep. Pete Sessions (R.Texas), observed that &#8220;Twitter got caught and Twitter got bought.&#8221;\u00a0 He\u2019s right.\u00a0 Documents proving the truth of the matter show that $3.5 million was spent by the IRS to pay for the FBI to process the documents. &#8220;moderation&#8221; requests.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/person\/kevin-mccarthy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">House Speaker Kevin McCarthy<\/a>, R-Calif., deserves credit for fairness.\u00a0 The new speaker allowed Democrats to choose their colleagues on the Oversight Committee, unlike the Jan 6th committee that was dominated by partisans who were selected by Nancy Pelosi, his predecessor.\u00a0 In fact, they were permitted to question the evidence and call witnesses.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s the laughable part. Dems presented a former Twitter executive that openly admitted she had nothing to do with the laptop censorship.\u00a0 She instead reacted against the January 6th events.\u00a0The distraction caused a severe disconnect.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This was the way most Democrats chose to go.\u00a0They used up their time by reviving the violence from January 6th and railing about their great boogeyman Trump.\u00a0They mocked the hearing and called it unimportant.\u00a0Despite all the evidence presented, some Dems claimed there was not enough evidence.\u00a0Raskin demanded more censorship and not less.\u00a0Wow.\u00a0Democrats used to be civil liberty advocates.\u00a0But not anymore.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The award for cluelessness was earned \u2014predictably\u2014 by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/person\/alexandria-ocasio-cortez\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez<\/a>D-N.Y., who launched into an unintelligible rant, her arms flailing like windmills, and her hands were full of frustration.\u00a0 Someone could have been seriously injured.\u00a0She called the laptop &#8220;disinformation&#8221; And a &#8220;half-fake&#8221; story.\u00a0Really?\u00a0Which half?\u00a0Rep. Melanie Stansbury, D-N.M., came in a close second by calling the FBI\u2019s obvious collusion with Twitter &#8220;a conspiracy theory.&#8221;\u00a0 Ah\u2026yes.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/apps-products\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>CLICK HERE FOR THE FOX NEWS APP<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Nothing is impossible &#8220;silly&#8221; \u2014the word one Democrat used\u2014 about congress investigating government corruption involving the president\u2019s family and maybe the president himself.\u00a0James Comer, a Republican from Kentucky, was the committee chair.
