Some of their media friends are also doing the same.<\/p>\n<p>Kevin McCarthy, the House Speaker (Republican from California), has made it clear that cuts to Medicare and Social Security are not allowed. \u201coff the table.\u201d That\u2019s the position of the Republican Party.<\/p>\n<p>However, Biden and other Democrats have also lied about this. <a href=\"https:\/\/redstate.com\/nick-arama\/2023\/02\/07\/biden-busted-by-twitter-for-lying-about-gop-medicare-cuts-while-hes-targeting-medicare-advantage-n699684\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">As I wrote previously,<\/a> Twitter even had to fact-check McCarthy on Sunday when he made the false claim.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">House Republicans are planning to cut Social Security, Medicare and other programs. This would put at risk millions of Americans who depend on these programs.<\/p>\n<p>I won\u2019t stand for that. Christopher was mad at CNN\u2019s Kaitlan Collins for not calling out Rep. Nick LaLota (R-NY) when he said that Biden was \u201clying.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Rep. Nick LaLota (R-NY) on heckling Biden: &#8220;I did, I was upset when the president lied about his statement on Social Security and Medicare \u2026 When we see something we don&#8217;t like, certainly something that someone was lying to us in our own house, we&#8217;re going to give feedback.&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/nfzZwIDr3Z\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pic.twitter.com\/nfzZwIDr3Z<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 The Recount (@therecount) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/therecount\/status\/1623306110068224000?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">February 8, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>But if the GOP has said it isn\u2019t on the table, suggesting that somehow it is or could be isn\u2019t Biden being straight with the American people, it\u2019s Biden being deceptive. Christopher or another media representative will look at it and point out that Biden has proposed cuts\/clawbacks which could affect seniors.<\/p>\n<p>Even ABC\u2019s Jon Karl wasn\u2019t buying this argument against the Republicans.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">ABC boasts that Biden is lying and Republicans want it. &#8220;sunset Social Security.&#8221;<br \/>&#8220;There&#8217;s nobody seriously talking about sunsetting Social Security in the Republican Party, but he did it with a smile. It was a jovial Joe Biden,&#8221; touted Jon Karl <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/YDyBwolZlG\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pic.twitter.com\/YDyBwolZlG<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Nicholas Fondacaro (@NickFondacaro) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NickFondacaro\/status\/1623168017151451136?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">February 8, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Karl tried to manipulate the GOP&#8217;s reaction, but even he said \u201cthe stuff he [Biden] said about Social Security was over the top\u201d  \u201cthere\u2019s nobody seriously talking about sunsetting Social Security in the Republican Party,\u201d However, he was impressed that Biden could convince him of this deceit \u201cwith a smile.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>If none is \u201cseriously\u201d Biden seems to be pushing this, so why bring it up? That is the only way to gaslight American citizens. Everyone knows that.
