He was taken to Washington, D.C. hospital on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Fetterman&#8217;s office spokeswoman said that late Wednesday, there was no &#8220;evidence of a new stroke,&#8221; However, he was told that the freshman senator would be held over night so that doctors could perform more tests. After the meeting, he left for the Senate Democratic retreat. &#8220;feeling lighthearted&#8221; His staff brought him to the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>His health was a major issue in his election race. Fetterman&#8217;s inability communicate and communication skills led to calls to have him drop out. His stroke occurred right before the Democratic primaries.
