I have written in the past about how they <a href=\"https:\/\/redstate.com\/nick-arama\/2022\/10\/14\/ron-klain-gets-blasted-for-inflation-hot-take-about-social-security-and-medicare-n643074\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Falsely claimed credit<\/a>\u00a0Due to the high inflation they caused, a cost-of-living increase to Social Security is required by law. We ought to strengthen these programs \u2013 not gut them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Twitter flagged Biden\u2019s tweet, pointing out what McCarthy said \u2014 that it was \u201coff the table\u201d Talks about increasing the debt limit.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"zxx\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/j6RkbeI0sb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pic.twitter.com\/j6RkbeI0sb<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Dr. Nickarama (@nickaramaOG) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/nickaramaOG\/status\/1622783368013262848?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">February 7, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Twitter will call you out for lying when you lie.<\/p>\n<p>But not only is Biden lying about the Republicans, he\u2019s also doing it while he\u2019s making moves that could hurt Medicare seniors.<\/p>\n<p>Two statements from his administration in the last week have been released about two cuts to Medicare Advantage.<\/p>\n<p>First, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2023\/01\/31\/biden-clawback-billions-medicare\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Announcement<\/a> That they would \u201cclaw back $4.7 billion from 2023 through 2032\u201d In overpayments. This could lead to \u201chigher costs to plans\u201d That \u201ccould lead some insurers to pull out of markets \u2014 and beneficiaries could face higher costs, fewer plan choices or reduced supplemental benefits under the Medicare Advantage program, per an Avalere analysis.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the second move \u2014 which is even more concerning \u2014 Medicare Advantage insurers would face <a href=\"https:\/\/khn.org\/morning-breakout\/cms-signals-that-medicare-advantage-payments-will-decline-in-2024\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">an average 2.3 percent cut<\/a> to baseline payments in 2024, Biden\u2019s CMS said on Wednesday. This would result in a net reduction of more than $3B for the industry.<\/p>\n<p>Medicare Advantage, also known by Medicare Part C, can be used by <a href=\"https:\/\/healthpayerintelligence.com\/news\/48-of-medicare-beneficiaries-are-enrolled-in-medicare-advantage-plans\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">48% of Medicare beneficiaries<\/a>, so that\u2019s a lot of Americans who Biden could be hurting with those moves. A bipartisan majority of senators, including Sens., supports Medicare Advantage. John Fetterman, Kyrsten Sinema and Jon Tester (I-AZ), Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), John Fetterman (D-PA), Kyrsten Silnema (I-AZ), Jon Tester(D-MT), Joe Manchin [D-WV]) and Joe Manchin (D-WV] are all members of the bipartisan group Medicare Advantage. The bipartisan group <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cortezmasto.senate.gov\/imo\/media\/doc\/23.01.30_Senate%20Bipartisan%20Medicare%20Advantage%20Letter%20(1).pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">I wrote a letter<\/a> CMS, please pray \u201ccontinue to sustain and strengthen Medicare Advantage.\u201d \u201cWe ask that the Administration provide a stable rate and policy environment for Medicare Advantage that will strengthen and ensure the long-term sustainability of the program\u2014protecting access to its important benefits on which our constituents have come to rely,\u201d The senators were enquired.<\/p>\n<p>Kevin Hern, R-OK, Chairman of the House Republican Study Committee (RSC). <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2023\/02\/03\/exclusive-rsc-chair-kevin-hern-biden-medicare-advantage-cuts-first-step-towards-medicare-for-all\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">An alarm sounded <\/a>Biden&#8217;s actions. Hern warned about the direction Biden was taking with this. \u201cBiden just cut nearly $5 billion in funding for Medicare Advantage, and this is just his first step.
