Add inflation to the mix, driven by reckless government spending to encourage rich consumers to buy electric cars, and the average American wouldn\u2019t dream of buying a Tesla any time soon. <\/p>\n<p> EV Subsidies can be gifts to the rich <\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/the-inflation-reduction-act-is-anything-but-spending-power-supply-demand-imbalance-restrictions-regulation-11659289812\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dubiously named<\/a> Federal subsidies up to $7500 were extended by the Inflation Reduction Act for electric cars. The price of an electric car drops to $58,000.
