Our surrogate was so kind and we are grateful to her family! And lastly, I know my mom had a cup of greek coffee with god and said it\u2019s time. We are so grateful for this blessing in our lives. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/eIYFJGysSk\">pic.twitter.com\/eIYFJGysSk<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 MARIA MENOUNOS (@mariamenounos) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mariamenounos\/status\/1622994024566259712?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 7, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cKeven, my dad, and I are all beyond excited for this soul to come into our lives,\u201d The rep was also added. \u201cWhat a blessing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The TV star confirmed this news later when she posted a Twitter clip from her appearance. \u201cLive with Kelly and Ryan.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Menounos, who worked with a surrogacy agency, shared a video with the outlet as she and her father watched footage from a recent ultrasound showing her baby growing inside the surrogate\u2019s womb.<\/p>\n<p>One year ago, the TV host shared what it was like for her and her husband after they started IVF treatments ten years ago. \u201cfrustrating.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI definitely didn\u2019t think it was going to take this long,\u201d Menounos admitted. \u201cIt\u2019s been years. We\u2019ve used different services, different people. It\u2019s just been a very frustrating process.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She explained that she was inspired to surrogacy after meeting Kim Kardashian, a reality star who had her two last children via surrogacy. It was a more difficult battle than they anticipated. They learned that their first surrogate in 2021 was not a match for them medically.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat was a really hard breakup because we had been together on the journey for almost two years,\u201d Menounos explained. \u201cShe was just so lovely and so amazing and very patient with us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s something called a mock cycle that my fertility doctor suggested because we only have two really good embryos and we want two kids,\u201d She added. \u201cWhat would happen is the uterine lining wouldn\u2019t grow to that last stage where you could safely implant and know that the embryo would stick. Had we not done [a mock cycle], we would\u2019ve probably lost our only chances.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She said that they started looking for another surrogate and she called her the \u201clast straw.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut I told [my doctors], \u2018If it doesn\u2019t work, I\u2019m done. This is the last straw. If this doesn\u2019t happen, it\u2019s definitely not meant to be,\u2019\u201d The TV host shared. \u201cI can\u2019t go through this process again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The television host and her husband are just a few celebrities to have their child via surrogate.
